The minutes of the meeting held May 9, 1951 and the special meeting held on May 21 1951 were read. Councilman Friedley moved they be appoved as read, seconded by Mayor-Councilman Fuller and by vote CARRIED. BILLS AND ACCOUNTS. The following bills were read: Mrs. Olive Parker J. E. Tumblin Florida' Power & Light Co. Kiep Bros. Mrs. Florence B. Swiney Mrs. Vera J.' McLane Mrs. Harriet M. Wells Mrs. Ethel E. Leat ' Sewickley Restaurant $14.00 $1.60 9.34 7.01 6.00 5.00 5.00 5.00 20.00 Councilman Friedley moved these bills be approved as read, paid and be made part of these minutes, seconded by Mayor-Councilman Fuller and by vote CARRIED. REPORTS OF OFFICERS Attorney Hawkins reported that the Charter for the Town of Edgewater ,on which he had been working was now finished, and was ready for passage by the Legislature. Councilman Friedley moved that Attorney Hawkins present this Charter to t~e Legislature as soon as possible for passage, seconded by Mayor-Councilman Fuller and by vote CARRIED. Mayor-Councilman Fuller Yes Councilman Friedley Yes MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS. Councilman Friedley moved that Attorney Hawkins be instructed to draw up an Amendment setting penalties for violation of Ordinance No. 130, seconded by Mayor-Councilman Fuller and by vote CARRIED. Mayor-Councilman Fuller Yes Councilman Friedley Yes Councilman Friedley moved that Lot No. 30 in Edgewater Highlands be offered for sale and the clerk post a notice that this lot will be sold to the highest bidder, the Council reserving the right to refuse all bids, also that bids must be in the office of the Town Clerk before 4:30 P.M. June 13, 1951, seconded by Mayor-Councilman Fuller and by vote CARRIED. \ . J n .. l .. '-" v u ~ Due to irregularities in the Special Election held on May 22, 1951 Councilman Friedley moved a new election be called to be held on July 17, 1951, seconded by Mayor-Councilman Fuller and by vote CARRIED. Councilman Friedley moved that Attorney Hawkins draw up an Ordinance amending Section 6 of Article 8 of Ordinance No. 75. Seconded by Mayor-Councilman Fuller and by vote carried. Councilman Friedley moved we do now adjourn, seconded by Mayor- Councilman Fuller and by vote CARRIED. TIME 9:50 P.M.
