MEETING OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA,
HELD IN THE TOWN HALL ON WEDNESDAY MAY 2ND, 1951, FOR THE
PURPOSE OF RECEIVING PETITIONS OF CANDIDATES FOR TOWN COUNCIL*
MAN TO SERVE THE UNEXPIRED TERM OF H. O. KUHLHOFF RESIGNED.
Meeting called to order at 7:30 P. M. by Mayor-Councilman E. P. Fuller.
Mayor Fuller explained the purpose of the meeting,the call for which is attached
and made part of these minuets.
ROLL CALL.
Mayor-Councilman E. P. Fuller Present.
Councilman R. T. Friedley Present.
Clerk G. C. Spargo Present.
Attorney A. E. Hawkins Absent.
Police Officer F. H. Norman Absent.
Street Supervisor J. M. Wood Absent.
Clerk reported that Petitions had be'n filed to have the following namesrP~ _6d
John H. Gibbs a.nd Howard B. Ranken placed on the ballot at the Special Town
Election to b~'held on May 22nd, 1951 for Tovm Councilman to serve the unexpired
term of Councilman H. O. Kuhlhoff resigned. .
Clerk further reported that each Petition was signed by twenty-five(25) or more
qualified electors and was! otherwise in proper legal form.
Councilman Friedley moved that these Petitions' beHaccepted' and"the rlames~of'
John H. Gibbs and Howard B. Ranken be placed on the official ballot, seconded by
Mayor-Councilman Fuller and by vote CARRIED.
RESOLUTION:
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE NOMINEES FOR THE OFFICE OF TOWN COUNCILMAN OF THE
TOWN OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, TO BE ELECTED AT THE SPECIAL TOWN ELECTION TO BE HELD
MAY22nd, 1951, AND PROVIDINGFOR THE PREPARATION AND PRINTING OF BALLOTS FOR SAID
ELECTION.
