RESOLUTION ORDERING A SPECIAL ELECTION TO BE
HELD IN THE TOWN OF EDGEW ATER, FLORIDA, IN THE
YEAR 1951, PRESCRIBING THE TIME AND THE PLACE
FOR HOLDING SUCH ELECTION;; PRESCRIBING THE RULES
BY WHICH SUCH ELECTION SHALL BE COVERED, AND
PRESCRIBING THE TIME AND THE POLLS SHALL BE OPENED
AND CLOSED, AND PROVIDING FOR NOTICES OF SUCH
ELECTION.
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Edgewater, Volusia
County, Florida, is authorized and empowered under and by
virtue of the authority vested in it by the Laws of the state
of Florida, and the Ordinances of the Town of Edgewater,
Florida, to call a special election in said Town, and to
prescribe by resolution the time and place of holding such
election and the purpose thereof; and
WHEREAS, It is proper for the aforesaid Council to order a
special election to be held in the aforesaid Town for the
purpose of electing one Councilman to serve for the unexpired
term of Councilman H. O. Kuhlhoff, who has resigned from the
office of Councilman (or until his successor is duly elected
and qualified); now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF EDGEWATER,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That a special election be and tle same is
hereby ordered to be held in the Town of Edgewater, Volusia
County, Florida, at the TC7Nn Hall (otherwise known as the
Community or V. I. A. Hall) on Tuesday, a2nd day of May, A. D.
1951, for the purpose of electing one councilman to serve
for the unexpired term of Councilman H. O. Kuhlhoff, who has
resigned from the office of Oouncilman.
SECTION 2. That at the said election the same laws and rules
that apply to the General Elections under the Laws of the
state of Flo rida, and the Ordinances of th e Town of Edgewater,
Florida, shall be observed.

SECTION 3. That tre Polls at the above named voting place
shall be open at 7:00 o'clock A. M. Eastern Standard Time
(that being t1:e time in use in said Town at the date of said
eledtion) on said day of said election and shall close at
7:00 o'clock P.M. of said day.
SECTION 4. That the Town Clerk of said Town be and he is
hereby directed to give Notice of the said election hereby
ordered by posting the Notice, form of which is hereinafter
set forth, at least fifteen (15) days prior to the date upon
which the said election hereby ordered is set in three (3)
differem , conspicuous and public places in said Town, one of
which shall be at the front door of the V. I. A. Town Hall in
said Town.
SECTION 5. That the Notice of such election to be posted as
herein provided shall be in substantially the following form,
to-wit:
NOTICE OF SPECIAL TOWN ELECTION
NOTICE is hereby given that the Town Council of the
Town of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida, under and
by virtue of the authority vested in it by the Laws of
the State of Florida, and the Ordinances of said Town,
has ordered a special election to be held on Tuesday,
the 22nd day of May, A. D. 1951, at the Town Hall
(otherwise known as the Community or V. I. A. Hall) for
the purpose of elect ing One Oouncilman for the unexpired
term of Oouncilman H. O. Kuhlhoff, who has resigned from
the office of Oounoilman, or until his successor is duly
elected and qualified. The Polls for said Election shall
be open at the hours of Seven (7:00) o'clock A. M. East-
ern standard Time, and shall close at seven (7:00)
o'clock P. M. on the day of said Election.
Said Election shall be in substantial conformity with the
Laws and Rules applioable to General Elections held under
the Laws of the State of Florida, and subject to the
Ordinances of tre Town of Edgewater, Florida.
