REGULAR MEETING OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF EDGEWATER,
FLORIDA, HELD IN THE TOWN HALL FEBRUARY 28, 1951.
Meeting called to order at 7:30 P. M. by Mayor-Councilman E. P. Fuller.

READING OF MINUTES.
The minutes of the regular meeting held February 14, 1951 were read, Councilman
Kuhlhbff moved they be approved as read, seconded by Mayor-Councilman Fuller a nd
by vote CARRIED.

REPORTS OF OFFICERS.
Clerk read his cash statement and budget report for the period January 1 to 31,
1951. Councilman Kuhlhoff moved that these reports be accepted, with the stipula~ll
tion that the budget report be corrected by transferimg 675.00 dollars from Street
account to Emergency account, seconded by Mayor-Councilman Fuller and by vote
CARRIED . "
Clerk reported that Florida Gas & Fuel Co claim they are "not liable for occupation.
al tax. Council instructed Attorney Hawkins to write Florida Gas & Fuel Co., of
thier liability in this matter,
Clerk reported that signs for use on the highway at the Community Church would
cost approximately $16.00 plus cost of lettering. Council instructed Clerk to pro-
cure these signs as soon as possible.
Marshal Thomas that he had contacted all dog owners that had not had thier dogs
licensed that March 5th, 1951 was the dead line and after that date unlinensed dOgl
would be picked up and impounded. Council instructed Clerk to find out if New
Smyrna Beach had a pound, if so would Edgewater be allowed to use it and the oost.

Attorney Hawkins reported that as the Court file in the V. I. A. su~t could not be
found, he had no report to until this report is found. Also that he had had no
answer to his letter to Mrs Kathryn Peyton. Councilman Kuhlhoff moved that Mrs.
Peyton be brought before the Municipal Court on a charge of violating the Town of
Edgewater, Ordimance No.141 as amended by Sec) of Ordinance No.143, seconded by
Mayor-Councilman Fuller amd by vote CARRIED.
Clerk read a letter from Freg Wagner expressing his appreciation of Edgewater, and
containing $15.00 which was $14.57 more than the amount of his tax. This he wished
to donate to the Town. Council instructed mlerk to add this money to the balance 01
the money contributed for the repair of the Town Hall and write Mr. Wagner a letter
of thanks.
NEW BUSINESS.
Councilman Kuhlhoff moved that the Town contribute $20.~0 to the American Red Cross
secondedcby Mayor-Councilman Fuller and by vo~e CARRIED. To this amount Attorney
Hawkins added %>5.00 making the total $25.00
Councilman Kuhlhoff moved that the sum of $40.00 a month be paid Police Officer
Norman for ~epreciation of his car while in the service of the Town, seconded by
Mayor-Councilman Fuller and by vote CARRIED.
Councilman Kuhlhoff moved we do now adjourn, seconded by Mayor-Councilman Fuller
and by vote CARRIED. TIME 8:40 P. M.
