REGULAR MEETING OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TO\VN OF EDGEWATER,
FLORIDA, HELD IN THE TOWN HALL FEBRUARY 14, 1951.
Meeting called to order at 7:30 P. M. by Mayor-Councilman E. P. Fuller.

READING OF MINUTES.
The minutes of the regular meeting held January 24th and the special meeting held
January 27th, 1951 were read. Councilman Kuhlhoff moved they be approved as read,
seconded by Mayor-Councilman Euller and by vote CARRIED.

Councilman Kuhlhoff moved these bills be approved as read, paid and be made
of these minutes. seconded by Mayro-Councilman Fuller andby vote CARRIED.

REPORTS OF OFFICERS.
Clerk reported having received bids from F. C. Cory and Owens Bros" on furnishing
concrete post to the Town of Edgewater, After some consideration of these bids,
Councilman Kuhlhoff moved that the Clerk notify Owens Bros., that their bid had
been acepted and they start work at once, seconded by Mayor-Councilman Fuller and
by vote CARRIED. .
Clerk reported that approximately 50% of the dogs in Bdgewater, had been inoculated
and licensed. Council instructed the Clerk to post notices of~the dead line for the
licensing of dogs.
Marshal Thomas that the slow signs used at the Community Church were falling to
pieces and new ones were needed. Councilman Kuhlhoff moved that the Clerk find out
the cost 'of new signs, seconded by Mayor-Councilman Fuller and by vote CARRIED.
Attorney Hawkins reported that he had received no answer to his letter to Mrs.
Kathryn Peyton regarding the violation of the building ordinance, Councilman
Kuhlhoff moved that if no naswre was received before February 24, 1951 bY. Attorney
Hawkins, he should write Mrs. Peyton that unless he had an immediate reply to this
letter, the Council would take action in this matter, seconded by Mayor- Council-
man Fuller and by vote Carried.
Councilman Kuhlhoff moved that the Florida Power & Light CO.be authorised to in-
stall three street lights west of the railroad in the Town of Edgewater, Florida,
seconded by Mayor-Councilman Fuller and by vote CARRIED.

Councilman Kuhlhoff moved the Clerk write the Florida Gas &."F\lel Co, they are
liable to an occupational license tax on the Bulk plant in Edgewater,seconded by
Mayor-Councilman Fuller and by vote CARRIED.
Mayor;Counci~man Fuller recommended the cross walk lines and the word slow on the
highway north and south of the traffic light be repainted and two new lines be
painted on the highway opposite the Post office. Council instructed the Street
Supervisor to attend to this, also the Clerk write to City Manager Ferris of New
Smyrna Beach to install a blinker light over the highway at a point opposite the
barber shop.
COMMUNICATIONS.
Clerk read a letter from the Business Men's Association in regards to the V. I. A.
suit Town Council to do something to push this suit to a conclusion. Adiscussion
resulted in this matter being turned over to Attorney Hawkins to see if the Town
could legally to anything about this suit and report at the next meeting.
RESOLUTION.
A RESOULTION ORDERING A ,SPECIAL ELECTION TO BE HELD illN THE TOWN OF EDGEWATER,
FLORIDA, IN THE YEAR 1951, PRESCRIBING THE TIME AND THE PLACE FOR HOLDING SUCH
ELECTION; PRESCRIBING THE RULES BY WHICH SUCH ELECTION SHALL BE COVERED, AND
PRESCRIBING THE TIME THE POLLS SHALL BE OPENED AND CLOSED, AND PROVIDING FOR
NOTICES OF SUCH ELECTION.

It was moved by Councilman Kuhlhoff, seconded by Mayor-Councilman Fuller that the
above and foregoing Resolution be adopted by the Town Council of the Town of
Edgewater, Florida, and be spread upon the minutes of this meeting at the V. I.A.
or Town Hall, in said Town, at a regular meeting of said Council, held this 14th
day of February, 1951, the vote of the Council upon said Motion being as follows:
