SPECIAL MEETING OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF EDGEWATER,
FLORIDA,HELD IN THE TOWN HALL JANUARY 27, 1951.
Meeting called to oreer at 10.15 A. M. by Mayor-Councilman E. P. Fuller.

Mayor-Councilman Fuller explained that this meeting was called for the purpose of
appointing a police officer for the Town of Edgewater, Florida.
Councilman Kuhlhoff moved that on recomendation of R. T. Friedley, who had inter-
viewed the several applicants,for this position, that F. U. Norman be appointed
police officer of the Town of ~4gewater, Florida, at a base pay of $180.00 per '
month, plus 5 cents mileage and a monthly sum to be determined for depreciation,
,seconded by Mayor-Councilman Fuller and by vote CARRIED.
Councilman Kuhlhoff moved that the base pay of 180.00 dollars be increased $10.00
each six months until the pay'-reaches $210.00 a month, seconded by Mayor-Councilmar
Fuller and by vote CARRIED.
Councilman Kuhlhoff moved that R. T. Friedley be appointed Honorary Chief-of Police
with out pay who will directthe police work of the Town, seconded by Mayor-
Councilman Fuller and by vote CARRIED.
Councilman Kuhlhoff moved that Attorney Hawkins draw up an agreement between the
Town of Edgewater, and the Police officer definening his duties ahd responsibili-.
ties, 1 seconded by Mayor-Councilman Fuller and by vote CARRIED.

Councilman Kuhlhoff moved that the police officer be bonded in the sum of $1000.00
seconded by Mayor-Councilman Fuller and by vote CARRIED.
Councilman Kuhlhoff moved that we do now adjourn, seconded by Mayor-Councilman
Fuller and by v'te CARRIED. TIME 10:45 A. M.
