FLORIDA HELD OCTOBER 22nd, 1952.
The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater,
Florida was called to order by Mayor R. T. Friedley at 7:30 P.M.

The minutes of the regular 'meeting held October $th, 1952 were read,
Also the minutes of a Special Meeting held October 15th, 1952.
Motion by Councilman Gibbs these minutes be approved as read, seconded
by Councilman Haughton and by vote CARRIED.

ORDINANCES
AN ORDINANCE NARROWING DIXWOOD AVENUE IN THE CITY OF EDGEWATER AS
PER MAP BOO~ $, PAGE 73, PUBLIC RECORDS OF VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA
FROM A 50 FOOT WIDE ~TREET TO A 30 FOOT STREET, AND PROVIDING
FOR THE REVERSION OF THE ABANDONED PORTIONS OF SAID DIXWOOD AVENUE
TO THE ABUTTING PROPERTY O~~ERS.

The above Ordinance was read in full by Attorney Chisholm and passed
by the vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida,
at a regular meeting on the 22nd day of October, A.D. 1952.
Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the re<;~lirement of
reading said Ordinance upon 3econd reading was waived, and the
6rdinanca was ordered put upon final passage.
Passed by the vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater,
Florida, at a regular meetinf of said Council held on the 22nd day
of October A.D. 1952, and approved as provided by Law, the vote of
said Council on roll call being 'as follows:

RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING A CLERK AND THREE INSPECTORS OF ELECTION
FOR THE SPECIAL CITY ELECTION TO BE HELD IN THE CITY OF EDGEWATER,
FLORIDA, ON TUESDAY THE 4th DAY OF NOVfl~BER A.D. 1952.
The above Resolution was read in full appointing Mrs. Ethel Lear,
Mrs. Ruth Drickel and Mrs. Esther Sherman as Inspectors and Mrs.
Lydia LaBonde as Clerk of Election for the Special City Election
to be held Nov. 4th, 1952.
Motion by Councilman Gibbs and seconded by Councilman Haughton
the above and fore~oing Resolution be adopted by the City Council
of the City of Edgewater, Florida, be spread upon and made a part
of the minutes of this Meeting held the 22nd day of October A.D.

OLD BUSINESS
The letter pertaining to the Sale of Packaged Goods on Sunday which
was tabled the meeting of October 8th was brought up and upon roll
call vote did not pass. Roll Call vote being as follows:-

NEW BUSINESS
The repairing of a Barbed Wire Fence on the McGinnis property was
called to the attention of the Council. It was stated this fence
was badly in need of repair and Mayor Friedley said he would contact
Mr. McGinnis in regard to this matter.
Mr. qace a member of the Plumbing Board ask to have an investigation
of plumbing being done in the City which he did not think came up
to the Building Code. He placed a check with the City to be filled
out to cover any damage done if same came up to Standard.
There beinF no further business Councilman Gibbs moved we do now
adjourn, Seconded by Councilman Haughton and by vote CARRIED.
