REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA,
HELD SEPTEMBER 24th, 1952.
The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater
Florida was called to order by Vice-Mayor H. L. Haughton at
7:10 P.M.

The minutes of the regular meeting held Sept. 10th, 1952 were read.
Motion by Councilman Gibbs these minutes be approved as read, second-
ed by Councilman Fuller and by vote CARRIED.
The minutes of the Special Meeting held Sept. 22nd, 1952 were read.
Motion by Councilman Fuller these minutes be approved as read, second-
ed by Councilmam Shaeffer and by vote CARRIED.

Councilman Fuller moved these bills stand approved as read, be paid
and be made a part\ of the minutes, Seconded by Councilman Shaeffer
and by vote CARRIED.
COW~UNICATIONS
The Clerk read a report from the State Board of Health stating the
water from the new well for the City Hall was satisfactory. The
Clerk also read a letter from C. F. Chapman and E. S. Chapman
regarding selling of Liquor on Sunday.

ORDINANCES
AN ORDINANCE COVERING THE ISSUING OF CITY LICENSES AND FIXING FEES
THEREOF.
The above o~dinan~e was read in full by Attorney Chisholm and after
a lengthf dlScusslon by. the council and citizens, motion was made
by Councllman Fuller thlS ordinance be tabled for further study
Seconded by Councilman Shaeffer and by vote CARRIED. '

Acting Mayor Haughton appointed a committee of five business
men, consisting of Mr. Loveland, Mr o'Connell, Mr. Sepkoski,
Mr. Wilckens and Mr. Kuhloff to meet with the Council Friday
September 26th, at 7:30 P.M. to go over this ordinance and
reach some agreement.
NEW BUSINESS
Pertaining to the letter received from Mr. & Mrs. Chapman, motion
by Councilman Shaeffer that places in the City of Edgewater hand-
ling Liquor be allowed to sell same from 12 o'clock noon on
Sunday to 10:00 o'clock that night. Seconded by Councilman Fuller,

Attorney Chisholm was instructed to draw up an Ordinance covering.
There being no further business Councilman Shaeffer moved we do
now adjourn, seconded by Councilman Fuller and by vote CARRIED.
