The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida was called to order by Mayor Friedley at 7:30 P.M. ROLL CALL Mayor-Councilman R. T. Friedley Councilman E. P. Motion by Councilman Shaeffer these bills be approved as read, paid and be made part of these minutes. Seconded by Councilman Haughton and by vote CARRIED. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE REGULATING AND PRESCRIBING REQUIREMENTS FOR RESTAURANTS AND EATING PLACES IN THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA, REQUIRING PERMITS FOR THE OPERATION OF RESTAURANTS AND EATING PLACES, PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE. The above ordinance was read in full and passed by the vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida at a regular meeting on the 23rd day of July A.D. 1952. Upon motion duly made by Councilman Haughton and seconded by Council- man Shaeffer and unanimously carried, the requirement of reading said ordinance upon second reading was waived, and the ordinance was ordered put upon final passage. Passed by the vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Council held on the 23rd day of July A.D. 1952 and approved as provided by Law, the vote of said Council on Roll Call being as follows:- Councilman Shaeffer " Haughton " Friedley Yes " " COIViMUNICA TIONS A letter to the Council from Mr. E. H. Lohman was read, stating he would dispose of his hogs in the corporate limits by Dec. 31st, 1952. '" ~ ~, u ~ OLD BUSINESS Motion by Councilman Shaeffer we accept the terms of Mr. Lohman's letter, holding the bond until we were notified of the disposal of the hogs not later then Dec. 31, 1952. and stating he should be notified that he will not be allowed to have any more in the corporate limits, seconded by Councilman Haughton. Councilman Shaeffer reported the Hedge on Mrs. Fuller's property had been trimmed and the DePue property would be cleaned. Councilman Haughton reported that the t rash Disposal Drums had been placed at the Flow Well and on the Dock. NEW BUSINESS A new plat was presented to the Council from Mr. Oatman and Mr. St. John respectfully to put a road thru their present property jointly. The road to be known as Lincoln Road. A width of 35.Ft. and approximately 360 Ft. deep from Riverside Drive westward. Motion by Councilman Shaeffer the Council accept this plat, second- ed by Councilman Haughton.
