05-14-1952 - Regular .. L" v .1 u v . REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA HELD MAY 14, 1952. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Friedley at 7:30 P.M. Wood " The minutes of the regular meeting of the City Council held April 23rd, 1952 were read. Councilman Haughton moved these minutes be approved as read, seconded by Councilman Gibbs and by vote CARRIED. REPORT OF OFFICERS The Clerk read the Budget Report and the Cash Report for the Month of April 1952. COMMUNICATIONS A letter to Mayor Friedley from Mr. Tinney of the regional office of the Federal Housing Administration was read. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE BUSINESS OF ELECTRICIANS AND ELECTRIC CON* TRACTING WITHIN THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINT- MENT OF A BOARD OF EXAMINERS, PRESCRIBING THE RIGHTS, POWERS, DUTIES, OBLIGATIONS AND FUNCTIONS OF SAID BOARD, PROVIDING FOR THE REGISTRATION OF CERTAIN ELECTRICIANS AND ELECTRIC CONTRACTORS AND FEES THEREOF, .PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, WAS READ BY Attorney Gautier. if)7 The above ordinance was read in full and passed by the unanimous vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida at a regular meeting on the 14th day of May 1952. The petitioners desire the present zoning be changed to Manufacturing and Industrial C-l District. It was referred to the adjustment Board and a date for a public hearing be set as soon as all property holders can be notified. There being no further business motion by Councilman Fuller, we do now adjourn, seconded by Councilman Gibbs, and by vote CARRIED. Councilman P.M.
