04-09-1952 - Regular ,., rl G u u J REGULAR MEETING OF THE' CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA HELD APRIL 9, 1952. The regular meeting of the Council was called to order by Mayor Friedley at 7:)0 P.M. ROLL CALL Mayor-Councilman R. T. Friedley Present Councilman E. P. Fuller " Councilman H. L. Woods " The minutes of the regular meeting of the Council held March 26th, 1952 were read. Councilman Haughton moved these minutes be approved as read, seconded by Councilman Fuller and by vote CARRIED. BILLS & ACCOUNTS Alvin Shippee Rhett McMillian Bond-Howell Lumber Co. F. J. Jones $12.00 10.00 6.45 14.$3 4.26 1$.9$ 17 .41; 35.00 Councilman Fuller moved these bills be approved as read, paid and be made part of the minutes of the meeting, seconded by Councilman Gibbs and by vote CARRIED. REPORT OF OFFICERS The Clerk read the Budget Report and the Cash Report for the month of March 1952. COMMUNICATIONS A letter from Mr. Saxon pertaining to drainage on Park Avenue was read. Also a letter from the American Cancer Society in regard to contributions. Co. Fuller stated that he thought it was up to each ome individually to make such contributions. ORDINANCE A motion was made by Councilman Fuller and seconded by Councilman Gibbs that Attorney Chisholm draw up an ordinance covering regulations of outside and inside advertising signs of hotels, apartment houses, room- ing houses, motor courts, tourist camps, trailer camps, motels, tourist courts and like establishments. OLD BUSINESS A discussion on a New Fire Truck place and the City Clerk was instructed to write to all persons so named and get information pertaining to same. i. 1'1 G v w ~ NEW BUSINESS The business of a new City Hall was brought up and after a lengthy discussion a date of Tuesday the 15th was set aside for a get to- gether of the Council with each Councilman bringing along one or two citizens to help draw up rough sketches and get view points as to material needs. There being no further business, Councilman Fuller moved we do now adjourn, seconded by Councilman Gibbs. Time: 8:15 P.M. Councilman MAYOR- Councilman Council ..
