REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA
HELD MARCH 26, 1952.
The regular meeting of the Council was called to order by
Mayor Friedley at 7:30 P.M.

The minutes of the regular meeting of the Council held March 12,
1952 were read. Councilman Fuller moved that these minutes be
approved as read, seconded by Councilman Gibbs and by vote CARRIED.

COMMUNICATIONS
A letter was read by City Clerk, regarding the placing of a street
light on Pine Bluff between the Highway and the River. Motion by
Councilman Gibbs, seconded by Councilman Shaeffer that this matter
be taken up later when new lights were being installed.
ORDINANCE

An ordinance repealing Section 2. g, 1 (aa, bb, cc) of Ordinance
No 8 of the City of Edgewater was read by Attorney Chisholm.
Councilman Shaeffer moved a second reading be waived and Councilman
Fuller seconded the motion. ROLL CALL vote was then taken

OLD BUSINESS
The matter of drainage on Park Ave. was brought up and on motion
by Councilman Shaeffer, the City Clerk was instructed to write to
Mr. Gaddis and also Mr. Saxon asking just what had been done re-
garding this matter, seconded by Councilman Fuller.

NEW BUSINESS
Motion by Councilman Shaeffer, the City give a Quick Claim Deed
for an 18 ft. strip of land between Hotel and New Hampshire Aves.
to Mr. & Mrs. H. W. Welch for the sum of $4.00, seconded by
Councilman Gibbs.
Attorney Chisholm was authorized to write Federal Housing Authority
officials relative to getting F.H.A. approval for at least a
portion of the city.
Fire Chief Bane emphasized that the present fire truck was in-
adequate and a hazard and Mayor Friedley said a wire would be
sent to Boston asking for specific information regarding the
engine they were giving away. Councilman Shaeffer said it was
up to the City to get a new truck if the old one could not be
procured.
There being no further business Councilman Shaeffer moved we do
now adjourn, seconded by Councilman Fuller and by vote CARRIED.
