Councilman Gibbs moved these minutes be approved as read, seconded by Councilman Fuller, and by vote CARRIED. BILLS AND ACCOUNTS. The following bills were reart: Florida Power & Light Co. SO 10.00 16.36 50.30 20.00 1,613.00 Councilman Shaeffer moved these bills be approved as reod, paid and be made part of the minutes of this meeting, seconded by Councilman Fuller and by vote CARRIED. REPORT OF CO~~lITTEES Councilman Gibbs read the report of the Adjustment Board on the public meeting of the Adjustment Board held Monday, January 21, 1952. The de- cision of the Board was a 4 to 0 vote ttgfusihgJthe request of Morris Relyea to effect a change in the zoning of Lot 7, Block A, Section 3 of the Highland Shores Subdivision. This report is attached and made part of the minutes of this meeting. This decision was discussed by various interested individuals, after which time Mr. Relyea requested the Council tc withdraw his request for a business licence, stating that the only way he would now accept it would be if it were brought to him. ORDINANCES f 11 An Ordinance entitled: (No. 11) AN. ORDINANCE AIvlENDING SECTION S OF ORDINANCE NO. 161 AS PREVIOUSLY AlvlE1'JDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 174A. The above Ordinance was read in full. Upon motion duly made by Council- man Fuller, seconded by Councilman Shaeffer and carried, the requirements of reading said Ordinance upon second reading was waived, and the Ordinance was ordered put upon final passage. Passed by the vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Council held on the 23rd day of January, A. Passed by the vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida at a regular meeting of said Council. held on the 23rd day of January, A. D. 1952 and approved as provided by Law, the vote of said Council on roll call being as follows: Mayor-Councilman Friedley Yes Councilman Fuller Yes Councilman Gibbs Yes Councilman Haughton Yes Councilman Shaeffer Yes rvIISCELLANEOUS At this point in the meeting, the discussion was reopened concerning the Adjustment Board's decision on Mr. Relyea's request for a zoning change. Councilman Shaeffer expressed his views, with a reauest that a record be made in the minutes of this meeting, that he 4(Councilman Shaeffer) was definitely opposed to the findines of the Adjustment Board. Councilman Gibbs and lvir. Wipperman, both members of the Adjustment Board, gave their reasons for the decision having been made, and various peopl~ expressed their individual opinions. Councilman Fuller also went on record as being opposed to the decision, providing "Mr. Relyea does not use River View Drive in any manner to indicate there is a bus iness of any na ture, and have entrance only from Ridgewood Avenue. If the use of River View Drive is violated, the license to be revoked immediately." Councilman Haughton moved that the matter be tabled for further consideration, the motion was seconded by Councilman Fuller and by vote CARRIED. Mr. Robert Reinwald reported that a meeting of the Edgewater Annual Christmas Party Club had ~een held January 22, 1952. The total~ amount of donations were $295.46, and the expense of the party ~136.09, leaving a balance on deposit of $159.37, which he feels will be suffi- cient for the coming year.
