The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Mayor-Councilman
Friedley.

The clerk read the minutes of the Regular Meeting Held November 14,
1951, the minutes of the Qrganization Heeting, and the regular
meeting he Id after the Organi zation lvIeetinp; on November 14, 1951.
Councilman Gibbs moved these minutes be aFproved as read, seconded
by Councilnan Euller, and by vote CARRIED.

Councilman Gibbs moved these bills be approved as read, paid and
be made a part of these minutes, seconded by Councilman Haughton,
and by vote CARRIED.
Cm.mUNICATIONS
The C~erk read a letter from Attorney Hawkins, tendering his
resignation. Mr. Hawkins stated that it had been a pleasure being
the attorney f or the City of Edgewater, and a fered to continue to
serve as such until a replacement had been made. It was moved by
Councilman Shaeffer that the resignation be accepted, seconded by
Councilman Fuller, and upon a roll call vote being taken, the voting
was as follows:

Mr. Robert Reinwald, newly elected President of the Edgewater
Community Annual Christmas Party reported that members of the
organization had been appointed to solicit contributions from the
residents of Edgewater, and asked that everyone cooperate to make

to make this first annual Christmas party a success. The party
will be held Decemb er 22 at 'the Hawks Park Club at 3 P .1-1., and all
children of the City are invited.
Mr. John Gibbs, chairman of the newly formed Zoning Board reported
tha t a meeting of the Zoning Board would be held November 30th at
the City Hall.
RESOLUTIONS
A RESOLUTION ENTITLED: A RE30LUTION APPOINTING A CITY CLERK FOR
THE CITY OF EDGE\iA TER, FLORIDA.
It was moved by Councilman Fuller and seconded by Councilman Haughton
that the above and foregoing Resolution be adopted by the City
Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, and be spread upon and
made part of the minutes of this meeting, held the 28th day of November,
A.D., 1951. Upon a roll call vote being taken, the motion carried,
the result of the roll call vote being:

A RESOLUTION ENTITLED: A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE OFFICIAL BANK
DEPOSITORY OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA.
It was moved by Councilman Gibbs and seconded by Councilman Shaeffer
that the above and foregoing Resolution be adopted by the City
Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, and be spread upon and
made part of the minutes of this meeting held the 28th day of Novem-
ber, A.D. 1951. The motion carried, the result of a roll call vote
of the Council being as follows:

NEVI BUSINESS
Councilman Fuller moved that the Council appoint Mr. John E. Chis-
holm to act as City Attorney for the following year. This was
seconded by Councilman Shaeffer, and the motion was unanimously
carried when a roll call vote w~s taken. The result of the roll
call vote of the Council being as follows:

In answer to a letter from the Fire Department, requesting an in-
crease in the rate of pay for fireman, Councilman Haughton made the
following motion: That the Fire Chief appoint four men to serve in
the Fire Department, that they and the Fire Chief be paid three ($3.)
dollars per hour for the first hour of duty, and one ($1.00) dollar
per hour for each hour of duty thereafter, for each call answered.
This motion was seconded by Councilman Shaeffer. Upon a roll call
vote being taken, the motion carried, the result of the roll call
vote being as follows:
