Vice Mayor-Councilman Friedley stated that the meeting was called for the purposE of preparing the ballot box for the specia~ election November 6, 1951 and to administer the oaths to the election officers. The oath was administered to Mrs. Florence B. Swiney as Clerk of election and to IV1rs. Vera J. McLane, IVlrs Ethel e.;. Lear and Mrs. ~ydia M. LaBonde. These oaths are attached and made part ..lof these minutes. Ballot Box #3 was produced and the contents removed and destroyed; Vfuereupon Council proceeded to prepare ballot box #3 for the election and placed therein the following; . The Officia Registration Book l-Certified cppy of registered voters 2-Tally sheets I-Blank poll list 2-0fficial Return Certificates 4-Pencils 2-Stick files 2-Envelopes for official returns 6-Instructions to voters la-Blank oaths of electors l-Envelope for ballot box keys 19-Absentee ballots 631 Official ballots ~Vhereupon Ballot box #3 was locked and sealed by Council and the oath of the Custodin and the 'keys thereof was administered to Mrs. Florence B. Sw~ney and thE ballot box was deliverled to Mrs. Swiney. This oath is attached and made part of these miinutes.
