04-22-1953 - Regular ~ ~ ~ y ~ J MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA HELD APRIL 22nd, 1953. The Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida was called to order by Mayor John H. Gibbs at 7:30 P.M. Invocation was delivered by Dr. Clifford. Motion by Councilman Hussey these minutes stand approved as read, seconded by Councilman Haughton and by vote CARRIED. BILLS & ACCOUNTS Bane's Auto Service J. E. Tumblin, Ins. Motors $3.00 5.00 7.72 5.25 119.$6 1.$$ 112.53 37.54 3.62 Motion by Councilman Hussey these bills be paid and be made a part of the minutes with the exception of. the $5.25 bill from The Segrave Corporation. Seconded by Councilman Fuller and by vote CARRIED. ORDINANCES AN ORDINANCE FILLING AN EXISTING VACANCY ON THE BOARD OF EXAMINERS OF PLUMBERS AND PLUMBING CDNTRACTORS. The above ordinance was read in full and passed by the vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida at a regular meeting on the 22nd day of April A.D. 1953. Upon motion duly made by Councilman Fuller and seconded by Councilman Haughton and carried the requirement of reading said ordinance upon second reading was waived, and the ordinance was ordered put upon final passage. Passed by the vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Council held on the 22nd day of April, A.D. 1953 and approved as provided by Law, the vote of said Council on Roll Call being as follows:- Councilman Fuller Councilman Shaeffer Councilman Haughton Councilman Hussey Mayor-Councilman Gibbs Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes h , It v u u v Fire Chief Garlick reported on the Siren and on the installation. Mr. David Thomas stated he wished to congratulate all those who had made it possible and worked so diligently on the City Hall. He also stated he would like to see an appropriate Honor Roll erected. Mayor Gibbs pointed out the Honor Roll had already been placed at the front of the Hall. Mr. Stamper stated he had Oil & Grease Products which he thought the City would be interested in using. He will furnish literature on same. There being no further business Councilman Shaeffer moved we do now adjourn, seconded by Councilman Hussey and by vote CARRIED. Time $:25 P.M. -0.
