OFFICERS REPORT The Clerk read the Clerk's Cash Statement and the Budget Report for the mont~ of November, 1954. AUDIT REPORT Mr. Frank Genter, a Certified Public Accountant presented the Audit Report for the fiscal year. This report was approved unanimously by the Council. COMMUNICATIONS A communication was read from E. W. Gautier pertaining to the Floreco Crab Company, Inc. procuring the uplands adjacent to their property. Motion was made by Councilman Shaeffer that Mr. Gautier be informed the City has no objections to the Floreco Crab Co. aquiring this submerged land. Seconded by Councilman Ranken and by vote CARRIED. -- " " ~ y .~ v A letter was also read from the Secretary of the Recreational Board asking for a donation toward the Childrens Christmas Party. Motion was made by Councilman Shaeffer that the City donate $100.00 for the Childrens Christmas Party. Seconded by Councilman Ranken and by vote CARRIED. A letter was also read from Mr. John Moynahan pertaining to the platt and shelling and maintaining of the streets in Florida Shores Subdivision. The platt was placed before the Council and motion made by Councilman Hussey to accept this plat. Seconded by Council- man Ranken and by vote Carried. Roll call.vote being as follows:- Councilman Shaeffer Councilman Hussey Councilman Ranken Councilman Loveland Mayor Lear Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes ORDINANCES ORDINANCE #77 APPOINTING A SPECIAL POLICE OFFICER FOR THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA AND SETTING FORTH HIS COMPENSATION. The above ordinance was read in full and passed by the vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meeting held on the 13th day of December, A.D. 1954. Motion was made by Councilman Ranken to adopt this ordinance, seconded by Councilman Loveland and by vote CARRIED. Upon motion duly made by Councilman Loveland and seconded by Council- man Ranken and carried, the requirement of reading said ordinance upon second reading was waived, and the ordinance was ordered put upon final passage. / Passed by the vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida at a regular meeting of said Council held on the 13th day of December, A.D. 1954, and approved as provided by Law, the vote of said Council on roll call being as follows:- Councilman Shaeffer Councilman Hussey Councilman Ranken Councilman Loveland Mayor Lear Pass Yes Yes Yes Yes ORDINANCE #78 DESIGNATING AND APPOINTING A JANITOR FOR THE COMMUNITY CENTER, CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA AND SETTING FORTH COMPENSATION FOR SERVICES RENDERED. " The above ordinance was read in full and passed by the vote of the City Counc 1 of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meeting held on the 13th day of December, A.D. 1954. Motion was made by Councilman Hussey to adopt this ordinance, seconded by Councilman Shaeffer and by vote CARRIED. The above ordinance was read in full and passed by the vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meeting held on the 13th day of December, A.D. 1954. Motion made by Councilman Shaeffer to adopt this ordinance, seconded by Councilman Hussey and by vote CARRIED. Upon motion duly made by Councilman Ranken and seconded by Councilman Shaeffer and carried, the requirement of reading said ordinance upon second reading was waived, and the ordinance was ordered put upon final passage.
