SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA
COUNTY, FLORIDA HELD DEC. 19th, 1955.
A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater,
Florida, held December 19th, 1955 was called to order by Mayor
George O. Sedgwick at 2:00 P.M.

The Council met with Mr. Loomis C. Leedy, Jr. of Leedy, Wheeler
& Alleman, Inc. Investment Bankers of Orlando, Florida to dis-
cuss financing a Water System. Mr. Leedy, Jr. explained the
ways to handle Revenue Certificates and was advised to keep in
touch with Briley, Wild Associates, Engineers on a revised sur-
vey and then another meeting would be held when the report was
ready.
The Council then went over revision of Insurance Policies and
Mr. Robertson, Insurance Agent explained his company's policies.
Motion was made by Councilman Washburn to accept the blanket
Policy proposed by Mr. Robertson. Seconded by Councilman Farrell
and by vote CARRIED. Roll call vote being as follows:-

COMMUNICATIONS
A letter was read from Nat Brown asking three street lights
be installed at 6th, 7th and 8th Streets respectively in Edge-
water Acres, with Mr. Brown paying the first two years main-
tance on the lights.
Motion by Councilman Friedley to accept this proposal, seconded
by Councilman John and by vote CARRIED.
The Mayor then instructed the Clerk to write a letter to Mr. Cole
of the Florida Power & Light Co. instructing him to install these
lights.
Mayor Sedgwick stated he had been contacted by Florida Shores
for four street lights and they agreed to pay the cost of two
lights for two years. Motion by Councilman Farrell these lights
be installed, seconded by Councilman Washburn and by vote CARRIED.
There being no further business, Councilman Friedley moved we do
now adjourn, seconded by Councilman John and by vote CARRIED.
