04-19-1956 - Special u o o u SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, HELD APRIL 19th, 1956. A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, held April 19th, 1956 was called to order by Mayor George O. Sedgwick at 2:00 P.M. ROLL CALL T Mayor George O. Sedgwick Councilman D. L. Washburn Councilman R. T. Friedley Councilman H. John Councilman B. Farrell City Clerk Frank F. Dippery City Attorney Fred R. Brannon, Jr. Present Present Present Present Present Present Present Mr. Wild, of Briley, Wild Associates, Engineers was also present. BUSINESS Anything that might come before the Council and The purpose of the meeting was tO~fO over revised Contract on purchase of Water Revenue Certificates received by telegram from T. R. Alcock & Co. and various other items. Discussions followed on the contract and a motion was made by Councilman Friedley, se- conded by Councilman Fa~rell and unanimously carried, that the City of Edgewater accept the purchase agreement of T. R. Alcock & Co. dated April 9th, 1956 and amended by telegram dated April 18th, 1956 to Attorney Fred R. Brannon, Jr. for the purchase of $350,000 Water Revenue Bonds and that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute said purchase agreement. Roll Call vote being as follows:- - Councilman Friedley Councilman Washburn Councilman John Councilman Farrell Mayor Sedgwick OTHER BUSINESS AS FOLLOWS:- Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes ORDINANCES ORDINANCE #110 FORBIDDING THE RUNNING AT LARGE OF CERTAIN ANIMALS AND FORBIDDING DRIVING OR RIDING CERTAIN ANIMALS UPON THE STREETS OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA. The above Ordinance was read in full and motion made by Councilman Farrell this ordinance be adopted, seconded by Councilman Friedley and passed by the vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida at a Special Meeting held on the 19th day of April, A.D. 1956. Upon motion dUDY made by Councilman Washburn, seconded by Counc~l- man John and unanimously carried the requirement of reading said Ordinance upon second reading was waived and the ordinance was ordered put upon final passage. Passed by the vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a Special Meeting of said Council held on the 19th day of April, A.D. 1956 and approved as provided by Law, the vote of said Council on roll call being as follows:- Councilman Friedley Yes Councilman Washburn Yes Councilman John Yes Councilman Farrell Yes Mayor Sedgwick Yes o o o u Ordinance #111 REQUIRING COMPLIANCE WITH THE LAWS OF FLORIDA FOR DRIVERS' LICENSES BY ALL DRIVERS IN THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA AND PROVIDING PENALTIES THEREFOR. The above Ordinance was read in full and motion made by Councilman Washburn this ordinance be adopted, seconded by Councilman Farrell and passed by the vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida at a Special Meeting held on the 19th day of April, A.D. 1956. Upon motion duly made by Councilman Friedley, seconded by Council- man John and unanimously carried the requirement of reading said Ordinance upon second reading was waived and the Ordinance was ordered put upon final passage. The above Ordinance was read in full and motion made by Councilman Farrell this ordinance be adopted, seconded by Councilman Washburn and passed by the vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida at a Special Meeting held on the 19th day of April, A.D. 1956. Upon motion duly made by Councilman John, seconded by Councilman Farrell and unanimously carried the requirement of reading said Ordinance upon second reading was waived and the ordinance was orderedput upon final passage.
