REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA,
HELD JUNE 4, 1956.
The Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater
held June 4th, 1956, was called to order by Mayor George 0 Sedgwick
at 1:30 P. M.

City Clerk Frank F. Dippery Present
City Att'y Fred R. Brannon, Jr. Present
The minutes of the regular Meeting held May 28th, 1956 were read.
Motion by Councilman Friedley these minutes stand approved as read,
seconded by Councilman Washburn and by vote CARRIED.
COMMUNICATIONS
Two letters were read, making application for librarian. Motion was
made "by Councilman Farrell that Mrs. Ruth Smith be appointed as
librarian. This motion was seconded by Councilman John. Upon Roll
Call vote this motion was unanimously CARRIED.
A letter was read from Cutler & Chapman, Bond Attorneys, stating that
Ordinance on Water Revenue Certificates in $350,000.00 would be
mailed June 5th, 1956 to Attorney Brannon.
NEW BUSINESS
Discussion followed on equipment for mosquito control. The Mayor
mentioned that we can get a Spray Dynaflow from Mr. Minnich of Daytona
Beach for $200.00 down, $400.00 balance on next year's budget. Also
that we can !et a Farmall Cub Tractor from Lyman L. Gage for $675.00.
Motion was made by Councilman Washburn that Mayor Sedgwick be author-
ized to make the purchase and secure the best possible terms. This
motion was seconded by Councilman Farrell. Upon Roll Call vote the
motion was unanimously carried.
The City Attorney was instructed to prepare an amendment to Ordinance
# 101.
There being no further business Councilman Friedley moved we do now
adjourn, sefonded by Councilman Farrell and by vote CARRIED.
