The Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, held August 6th, 1956 was called to order by Mayor George O. Sedgwick at 1:)0 P.M. ROLL CALL Mayor George O. Brannon, Jr. Present Pres ent Present Present Present Present P-r03ellt The minutes of the Regular Meeting held July 27th, 1956 were read. Motion by Councilman Friedley these minutes stand approved as read, seconded by Councilman Washburn and by vote CARRIED. ORDINANCES ORDINANCE #128 AUTHORIZING THE SOUTHERN BELL TELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH COMPANY TO USE THE PUBLIC STREETS OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ERECTING, CONSTRUCTING, MAINTAINING AND OPERATING LINES OF TELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH THEREON AND THEREUNDER. The above Ordinance was read in full and motion made by Councilman Washburn this Ordinance be adopted and the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute this Ordinance, seconded by Councilman John and passed by the vote of the City Council of the City"of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meeting on the 6th day of August, A.D. 1956. Passed by the vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a Regular Meeting of said Council held on the 6th day of August, A.D. 1956 and approved as provided by Law, the vote of said Council on roll call being as follows:- Councilman Washburn Yea Councilman Friedley Yea Councilman John Yea Councilman Farrell Yea Mayor Sedgwick Yea An application for street work was presented from George Graham. It was unanimously decided to give this man a weeks trial and if satis- factory to hire him permanently.
