RillULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF EOOEWATER, FLORIDA,
HELD MARCH 4th, 1957.
The Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida,
held March 4th, 1957 was called to order by Mayor George O. Sedgwick at
1:30 P.M.

The minutes of the Regular Meeting held February 25th, 1957 were read.
Notion by Councilman Farrell these minutes stand approved as read, second-
ed by Councilman John and by vote CARRIED.
COMMUNICATIONS
Letters were read from the Board of CoUnty Commissioners, White Sands &
Material and from the residents of Louisa Drive.
The residents of Louisa Drive ask that the street be made at least 18 or
20 Ft. wide and trees removed from center and a light be installed at the
corner of the Highway and Louisa Drive.
Motion by Councilman Farrell the trees be removed from the center of the
street and the street be put in shape and when thenext allotment of lights
are available a light be placed at the intersection of the Highway and
Louisa Drive. Seconded by Councilman Washburn and by vote CARRIED.
White Sands & Materials quoted a price of $2.23 per square yard on black
top to be placed in front and across the street from the Post Office. This
quotation was tabled until prices are received from other sources.
Each Councilman was given a copy of a Dog Ordinance and same was read by
Attorney Brannon. They also received a copy of a Council Procedure Ordinance.
These ordinances to be studied before coming up at the Regular Council Meet-
ing on March 11th.
The Mayor also discussed the business taken up in Tallahassee and reported
that the State Road Department will not allow signs to be placed over side
walks on a U.S. Highway.
There'being no further business Councilman John moved we do now adjourn,
seconded by Councilman Friedley and by vote CARRIED.
