The Minutes of the Regular Meeting held April 29th, 1957 were presented to
each Councilman tor approval. Hotion by' Councilman Washburn these minutes
stand approved as submitted, seconded by Councilman Seng, and by vote CARRIED.
COMMUNICATIONS
Letter was read from the Edgewater Volunteer Fire Department asking tor a
donation or $200.00 to help detray ~ses ot the Fire Works for the Fourth
ot Ju.ly Celebration. Hotion by' Councilman Farrell we donate $200.00 toward
the. fire works, seconded by' Councilman Washburn and by vote CARRIED.
RESOWTIONS
A RESOWTION APPOINTIm AN ELECTION CLERJ,' INSPECTORS AND A SPECIAL OFFICER
FOR THE SPECIAL ElECTION TO BE ~ HAY 14th, 1957, FOR PROPOSED. FLORIDA
SHORES ANNEXATION.

The above and foregoing resolution appointing Josephine H. Haughton, Clerk
Arpha Eickmeier, Nell R. Cratsley, Mary' B. Allen and John H.-Gibbs Inspectors
tor the Special Election, was read by Attorney Brannon, and motion made by
Councilman Sang for its adoption, said motion being seconded by Councilman
Washburn and upon roll call vote the said Resolution was du.ly declared adopt-
ed, at the regular meeting of' said Council held on the 6th dq or Mq, A. D.
1957, the vote of' said Council on roll call being as follows:-

The above Ordinance was read in .t'ull by Attorney' Brannon and motion made by
Councilman Farrell for its adoption, sec~ed by Councilman Seng, Sr. and
passed by the vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at
a regular meeting held on the 6th dq of May', A. D. 1957. Roll call vote

Upon motion du1.y made by Councilman Washburn, seconded by' Councilman Farrell
and carried, the requirement of reatHTlg said Ordinance upon second. r~;Tlg
was waived, and the Ordinance was o~ered put upon final passage.
Passed by the vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida,
at a regular meeting of said Council helt on the 6th dq of May, A.D. 1957
and approved as provided by Law, the vote of said Council on roll call

ORDINANCE PROVIDIID ~UIREMENTS FOR SEPfiC TANKS IN THE CITY OF EOOEWATER,
FIDRIDA.
The above Ordinance was read in tul1 by Attorney Brannon and was discussed.
A decision was reached to have same changed and a new ordinance written
for the next regular meeting.
OLD BUSINESS
An agioeement was read between the City of Edgewater and W;"; am Rickelmann
'Whereby he is to work a 40 hour week and receive $270.00 per month as compen-
sation and it needed for extra work or a:rry other emergency he is to receive
no additional wages.
NEW BUSINESS
Mr. Talley', a surveyor presented a Plat of Bine Subdivision for consideration.
Mqor Sedgwick ask that the plat be left and an inspection would be made to
ascertain if the street was shelled properly before acceptance of this plat.
Mr. Frederick :&nand was presented by Police Chief Norman. Mr. Emond had put
in his application prior to this meeting as an extra officer to work four
hours five nights a week. .l discussion followed and a decision reached to
give Mr. Emond a definite answer at the next regular meeting.
There being no rurther business Councilman Farrell moved we do now adjourn,
seconded by Councilman Washburn and by vote ..CARRIED.
