06-13-1957 - Special u .. . u o ~ I () SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL CITY OF EOOEWATER, FLORIDA, HELD JtJNE 13th, 1957. A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, held June 13th, 1957 was called to order by Mayor George O. Sedgwick at 10:OO.A.M. ROLL CALL ~or George O. Dippery Present Present Absent Present Present Present The meeting was called for the purpose of discussing Construction Agreement and Contract of M. G. Aldridge, which was approved by the Council at the last Regular Meeting of said Council on June 10th, 1957. After thoroughly discussing this matter again, it ''laS voted on a motion made by Councilman Washburn, seconded by Councilman Farrell and carried, that the proposed Agreement between the City of Edgewater and M. G. Aldridge be rescinded and made null and void. Vote on Roll call being as follows:- Councilman Washburn Councilman Teague Councilman John Councilman Farrell Mayor Sedgwick Yea Absent Yea Yea Yea It was further discussed and decision reached that Mayor Sedgwick accompany Mr. Alcock, Fiscal Agent, to Chicago to prepare Water Indenture Bond Ordinance at the earliest time appointment can be made by Mr. Alcock with Chapman & Cutler, Bond Attorneys. Motion by Councilman Washburn, seconded by Councilman John, the Mayor accompany Mr. Alcock to Chicago, and by vote CARRIED. Roll call vote being as follows:- Councilman lvashburn Councilman Teague Councilman John Councilman Farrell Mayor Sedgwick Yea Absent Yea Yea Yea Motion was then made by Councilman l'lashburn, funds be advanced to Mayor Sedg- wick in the amount of $250.00 to be charged against him until accounted for, seconded by Councilman Farrell and by vote CARRIED. Roll call vote being as follows :- Councilman Washburn Councilman Teague Councilman John Councilman Farrell Mayor Sedgwick Yea Absent Yea Yea Yea Discussion followed on the appointment of a Temporary Vice-Mayor to serve in the absence of Mayor and Vice-Mayor. It was decided among themselves to appoint Councilman Farrell Temporary Vice-Mayor to serve during the leave of absence period of Vice-Y.ayor \vashburn. o . . ..-~ 0 " o ~.. o There being no further business Councilman Farrell moved we do now adjourn, seconded by Councilman Washburn and by vote CARRIED.
