WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the To~m Council
of the Tovm of Edgewater, Florida that the Post Office De-
partment of the United States of America is contemplating
a change in the method of handling mail in the To~m of Edge-
water, Florida, and
~lliEREAS, the present method of distribution of mail is entjr~ly
satisfactory,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE: TOV~ COUNCIL OF THE TOWN
OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA
Section 1.
That the Town Council of the Town of Edgewater,
Florida respectfully objects to the establishment of a rural
route from the New Smyrna Beach Post Office through the Town
of Edgewater, Florida, ard respectfully requests that the mail
heretofore handled by the Edgewater Post Office remain under the
existing arrangements, and that there be no change in the
existing method of distribution of mail in said Tovm of Edge-
vlater, Florida.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall be made a part of the
minutes of the To\Vll Council, and that a certified copy thereof
~ be'sent to the Post Master General of the. United States of
America and Congressman Sydney Herlong.
