A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF
THE SPECIAL ELECTION HELD IN THE TOWN OF
EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, ON THE 4TH DAY OF
FEBRUARY A. D. 1947, AND PROVIDING FOR
THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICJI,TE. OF ELEC-
TION TO THE TOVV"N OFFICER CHOSEN AT
SAID ELECTION.
~HEREAS, the Tovm Council of the Town of Edgewater,
Florida, met in an Official Organization Meeting as reqUired
by law and by the Ordinances of said Town on the 5th day
of February, 1947, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That from the canvass of the Returns, it
is hereby deolared that the result of the Special Election held
in the Town of Edgewater, Florida, on February 4th, 1947, is
as follows:

Sect~on 2. That the Town Council of said Town
does hereby declare that Olen O. Matthews received the highest
number of votes cast for the office of To~n Councilman for the
unexpired term of J. J. Baumgartner, resi~ned, and is hereby
declared the regularly elected Town Councilman of said Town
to serve for said term or until his successor shall be duly

elected and qualified.
Section 3. That the Town Clerk of said Town be and
he is hereby directed to Furnish one certificate of election
to Olen O. Matthews within one day from the date of the
passage of this Resolution.
The above and foregoing Resolution was introduced by
Councilman t:i~ .~.A.,J~ , Wh,iCh Motion was duly
seconded by Councilman ~~ and upon
a Roll Call vote being taken the same was declared adopted
this 5th day of February, A. D. 1947, the vote of said Council
on said roll call being as follows:
