RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE COMPROMISE, SETTLEMENT AND ADJUSTMENT 0]' DELINQ.UENT TAXES AND PROVIDING THE BASIS THEREFOR. WHEREAS, under and by virtue of the provisions of Chap- ter 23266, Laws of Florida, Special Acts of 1945, the Town of Edgewater, Florida, is authorized to compromise, settle and adjust certain taxes levied by the Town of Edgewater, Florida, and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Town Council of the To~~ of Edgewater, Florida, to carry out the provisions of said act NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That the Town Clerk of the Town of Edgewater, Florida, is hereby authorized to accept for and on bebalf of the Town of Edgewater, Florida, com- promises, settlements and adjustments of Town of Edgewater, Florida, taxes levied for the year 1941 and previous years, upon a uniform basis which is bereby fixed at twenty-five per cent (25%) of the face amount of the tax sales certificates representing taxes for the , I . -..r\ I '-" --.... "-' -j ,."j ~ ~ . ... year 1941, and previous years, disre- garding and waiving any interest, fees or penalties. At the time of and as a pa,rt of all compromises, settlements and adjustments made hereunder, said Town Olerk shall be paid and receive in addi- tion the full amount due for texes for the year 1942 and subsequent years, to- gether with all interest, costs, and penalties due for the year 1942 and sub- sequent years. SEOTION 2. A copy of this resolution shall be spread upon the minutes, and four copies shall be posted at four pub- lic places in the Town of Edgewater, Flo- rida, one of which shall be at the V.I.A. or Town Hall in said town. SEOTION 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage. The above resolution was read in full and passed by the t ~ unanimous vote of the Town Oouncil of the Town of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meeting on the 13th day of March, A. D. 1946. Passed by the unanimous vote of the Town Council of the Town of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Council held this 13th day of March, A.
