Also the painting of a sign for the Library stating the hours the library
is open. Fire Chief Garlick also ask that the Danger sign on the Siren Tower
be repainted. Mayor Sedgwick stated Councilman Shaeffer would paint these
signs and instructed Chief Garlick to remove the sign from the tower and
deliver it to Councilman Shaeffer for repainting.
Mr. Scofield then ask to present a proposition to the Council. He stated he
was speaking for Mr. Moynahan in regard to placing a sign entering the City
at the North. He stated Florida Shores spent 200,000 in advertising their
development and not as many people were stopping this year as a year ago because
they did not know when they entered Edgewater. The sign read "Welcome To
Edgewater" Florida Shores the largest development with the City Limits. This
was discussed and then turned over to the Zoning & Planning Board for their
recommendations.
Mr. Pittman, Neptune Water Dieter salesman and Mr. Julian Hamby, Badger Water
Meter salesman then gave a talk on the merits of their water meters. No action
taken as the City does not have to decide on water meters at this early date.
There being no further business Councilman Farrell moved we do now adjourn,
seconded by Councilman Shaeffer and by vote CARRIED.
