A RESOLUT ION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE
SPECIAL ~li'ERENDU1vI ELECTION HELD IN THE TOWl\f
OF EDGEVIATER, FLORIDA, ON NOVEMBER 6th,
1945, FOR THE RATIFICATION OR REJECTION OF
CERTAIN SPECIAL ACTS OF THE LEGISLATURE OF
FLORIDA OF 1945, lERTAINING TO SAID TOWN. ,

November, A. D. 1945, and canvassed the results of the Special

Referendum Election held in said Town on November, 6th, 1945,
for the ~urpose of Ratifying or rejecting certain special Acts of
the Legislature of the State of Florida of the Session of'l945,
pertaining to the said Town, NON, THEREFORE,

BE I1r RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOVlN 01i'
EDGE\1ATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That from the canVass of the returns
it is hereby declared that the results of the Special Referendum
Election held in the said Town on Tuesday, November 6th, 1945,
on the question of ratifting or rejecting certain Special Acts of
the Legislature of the State of Florida, passed at the Session of
1945, pertaining to the said Town, are as follows:
On the QUESTION: .Shall the Act of the Legislature of the State
of Florida e~titled lAN.ACT authorizing the Town
Council of the Town of ~dgewater, Florida, to
assess costs of lot Cleaning, and trash and brush
removal against the lands from which such trash
or brush shall be cleaned or removed, and provid-
ing a method for the collection of the cost
thereof by adding the same to the taxes assessed
against said land in each ye ar and the sale of
such land for non-payment thereofl be ratified?"

which are. or may become unpaid for a period of over
three years, and prescribing the method whereby
such adjudtments may be made' be ratified?-
there were J 11 votes cast in favor of ratification, and
there \Yere J'f votes cast against ratification, and
ILf- votes were void.
Section 2. That the Town Counci. of said Town
of Edgawater, Florida, does therefore declare that said Act of the
Legislature fi~st above referred to was d~ approved by the
electors ot 8aid Towh who were qualified to vote in said election,
and that the said Act last above referred to was

Section 3. That a copy of this Resolution be spread
in full. upon the minutes of this.meeting, and that two copies thereof
duly certified by the Town Clerk of said Town be transmitted forth-
with to the Honorable R. A. Gray, Secretary af State of the State of
Florida, as requri4din"and by the provisions of each of said Special
Acts.
Section 4. That. by unanimous consent of t he Town
Council of said Town this Resolution be adopted at this, the Official
Organization meeting of siid Council, the same be~equired to be
acted upon within one day after said election.
The above and foregoing aesolution was introduced

which motion was duly seconded by Councilman tJ1'. If. r a-I 'd
