RESOLUTION AUT.rIORIZING THE PROPER
OFFICERS OF THE TOWN OF EDGEWATER,
FLORIDA, TO WARRANT SALES OF TOWN
OWNED LANDS AGAINST CLAIMS BASED
ON CERTAIN ALLEGED TAX LIEN CLAIMS.
WHEREAS the Town of Edgewater acquired
certain lands in said Town by foreclosure of delinquent
taxes, some of whicp said lands are still owned by said
Town and some of which have been sold;

AND WHEREAS the holders of certain tax
certificates and tax receipts have from time to tmme
asserted claims against ~aid ~ands, particularly certain
lots in Highland Shores Subdivision, all of which said
tax claims are of no legal effect;
AND \mEREAS said unfounded claims are and
will affect the sales of the properties so referred to, and
the Town Council is desirous of giving proper assurance
to those who have purchased and who will purchase any of
said properties;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN
COUNCIL OF THB TOWN OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 11 That in all deeds hereafter executed
by the Mayor and Town Clerk on behalf of said Town for the
sale of any lots of land in Highland Shores Subdivision,
the said officers be and they are hereby author~d to have
inserted in the deed or deeds for such lots(and the town
attorney is authorized to prepare a ppoper form for such
purpose)a clause of warranty against any and all claims
based upon tax receipts and tax certificates in each and every
case in which it is the opinion of the Town Attorney that
such tax receipt or certificate does not constitute a valid
claim or lien against such property.

Section 2. That this Resolution shall-take
effect immediately upon its passage, and approval.
Section 3. That in all instances where deeds
have already been executed, and in which claims have already
been asserted by the holders of said receipts or certificates,
the Town Council does hereby go on record as assuring to such
purchasers that the said Town will and does hereby warrant
the title to said lots as against said illegal cla~ms.
The above and foregoing Resolution was intro-
duced by Councilman

the same resulted as follows and said Resolution was declared
duly adoptedl
