WHEREAS the Town Council of the Town of Edgewater, Florida,
met in regular session in the Town of Edgewater, Florida ,
on the 5th day of November, A. D. 1940 and canvassed the
returns of the Ann-al Town Election held in said Town on
the 5th day of November, A. D. 1940, now therefore
BE IT RSaOLVED BY Th. TOWN CO NCIL OF THE TO N OF EDGEWATER,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. That from the canva'>s of the returns , it is
hereby declared that the result of the said Annual Election
held in the Town of Edgewater, Florida, Tuesday, Lovember
5th, 1940, is as follows:
For Town Councilman to serve for three years the total
number of votes cast was 1 .51 .
Oliver E. Southard received 15 / votes.
received votes.
For Town Clerk to serve for one year the total number of
votes cast was ) J1 ) •
Walter C. Fuller received 13 9 votes

Section 2. That the Town Council of said Town does hereby

number of votes cast for the office of Town Councilman and

he is hereby declared to be the regularly elected Councilman
of said Town to serve for a term of three years from his
election and qualifications, or until his successor shall be
duly elected and qualified,
That the Town Council of said Town does and hereby declares

votes for the office of Town Clerk of said Town and he is
hereby declared to be the regularly elected Town Clerk of
the Town of Edgewater, to serve for the term of one year
from his election and qualification, or his successor
is duly elected and qualified.
section 3. That the Town Clerk of said Town of Edgewater,
Florida, be and he is hereby directed, within one day from
the date hereof, to furnish one certificate of elecion to
each person elected.
Section 4: That the Town Clerk of said Town of Edgewater,
Florida , be and he is hereby directed to spread this Resolu-
tion upon the Minutes of this 14-eeting.
Passed by the unanimo<< s vote of the Town of Edgewater, Voludia
County, Florida, on the 5th day of 1%ovember, A.D. 1940, the
vote of the said Council being as follows:
