A RESOLUTION CANCELLING CERTAIN INVALID
TAX SALE CERTIFICATES AND IN PART CANCELL-
ING CERTAIN PARTIALLY INVALID TAX SALE
CERTIFICATES OF TEE TOWN OF EDGEWATER,
FLORIDA, NOW OUTSTANDING AND DELINQUENT,
ON LANDS LOCATED IN LOT 39-F and LOT 39-A
ofthe G. ALVAREZ GRANT IN EDGEWATER, FLORIDA)
AND LIKEWISE CANCELLING THE INVALID PORTIONS
OF TEE ASSESSMENTS UPON r'HICH SAID CERTIFICATES
ARE BASED.
WHEREAS it appears to the Town Council of the Town
of Edgewater) Volusia County, Florida, that certain tax assess-
ments and certain tax sale certificates issued by said Town of
Edgewater, Florida, on portions of Lot 39-F and Lot 39-A of the
G. Alvarez Grant in said Town of Edgewater, Florida, now out-
standing and delinquent , are invalid and/or partially invalid
for the reasons hereinafter particularly set forth as to each
of said assessments and tax sale certificates;
al D, WHEREAS it is thei efore the duty of the Town
Council of said Town of Edgewater, Florida, that said assessments
be cancelled and that said lands be released from the lien of
said invalid tax sale certificates, and./ or so much thereof as
may be invalid;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY TEE TOWN COUNCIL
OF TEE TUON OF EDGEWATER FLORIDA:
Section 1. Th t the assessment on the E. 5 fiat
of the W. 50 feet of the E. 122, feet of Lot 39-A, of
the G. Alvarez Grant in said Town of Edgewater, Florida,
in the Tax Roll for the year of 1927, be and the same
is hereby cancelled) said land having been assessed to
E. M. Klipstein, whereas the said property belonged to
Laura A. Baugh]. and was elsewhere so assessed.

Section 2. That Tax Sale Certificate No. 411
of June 6th, 1927, be and the same is hereby cancelled
as to the west fifty feet of the east ninety-six feet of
the north one hundred fifty feet of Lot 39-A of G. Al-
varez Grant because the said Certificate fails to
properly describe the land above described and to desig-
nate the owner thereof.
Section 3. That Tax Sale Certificate No. 532 of
June 4th, 1928, be and the same is hereby cancelled in
so far as the same appears to cover the East 5 feet of
the west 50 feet of the E 122 feet of Lot 39-A, G.
Alvarez Grant, for the reason that the same illegally
overlaps the land herein described and which said land
at that date was the property of one Laura A. Baughl
and not to E. M. Klipstein.
Section 4. That Tax Sale Certificate No. 704 of
June 3rd, 1929, be and the same is hereby cancelled
for the reason that same fails to accurately and legally
describe the property intended to be sold, and to desig-
nate the true owner thereof.
Section 5. That the assessment on the Tax Roll
for the year 1927 on the W.41 ft.LOt 39-F and east 9
feet of Lot 39-A of the G. nlvarez Grant be and the
same is hereby cancelled as the property was not the
property of one Fred Klipstein but belonged to said
Laura A. Baughi.
Section 6. That Tax Sale Certificate No. 534 of
June 4th, 1928 be and the same is hereby cancelled as
to the west 42 feet of Lot 39-F and the east 9 feet
of Lot 39-A, as the owner of the property is incorrectly
designated.
Section 7. That the aseessment on the Tax Roll for the
year of 1928 on the east 5 feet of the west 50 feet of the e�
east 122 feet of Lot 39-A be and the same is hereby can-
celled as the said assessment fails to designate the true
owner of said land.
Section 8. That the assessment on the tax Roll for
the year 1928 on the west 41 feet of Lot 39-F and the East
9 feet of the north 150 feet of Lot 39-A be and the same is
hereby cancelled as the said assessment fill to designate
the true owner of said lands.
Section 9. That Tax Sale Certificate loo. 706 of
June 3rd, 1929 be and the same is hereby cancelled in so
far as the same applies to the west 41 feet of Lot 39-F
and the east 9 feet of the north 150 feet of Lot 39-A, of
said Grant, in that the same fails to designate the
true owner of the lands, the lands having been assessed
to Fred Klipstein instead of the true owner thereof.

for the years of 1929 coot ng `hie east east 118 feet of Lot
39-A assessed to E. M. Klipstein be and the same is hereby
cancelled in so far as the same relates to the east
77 feet of Lot. 39-A, for the reason that said assessment
fails to designate the tree owner thereof.
Section 11. That the assessments on the Tax Rolls
of the years 1929 to 1936 inclusive be and the same is
hereby cancelled in so far as the same relates to the west
41 feet of the north 141 feet of Lot 39-F of said Grant
because the said assessment fails to properly designate the
land intended to be assessed, fails to properly designate
the owner thereof, and because the same in each year
constitutes a duplicate assessment on the west 41 feet of
said Lot 39-F.
Section 12. That Tax Sale Certificates Numbered
977 of June 1st, 1931 and No. 186 of July 2nd, 1934, be
and the same are hereby cancelled in so far as the same
relate to the west 41. feet of the north 141 feet of Lot,
39-F of said Grant, because of the invalidity of the
assessment upon which said certificates were based, as
set forth in Section 11 hereof.
Section 13. That Tax Sale Certificates No. 531 of
June 4th, 1928, and No. 413 of June 6th, 1927, be and the
same are hereby cancelled except that part of said
certificates which relates to the west 125 feet of Lot 39-A
of said Grant, it appearing that said certificates purport
to cover the west six acres of Lot 39-A, whereas said
Lot fails to contain that amount of acreage, and the said
certificates constitute duplicate assessments as to all
of said Lot 39-A, except the west 125 feet thereof.
Section 14. That Tax Sale Certificate No. 180
of July 2nd, 1934, be and the same is hereby cancelled
in so far as the same relates to the east 77 feet of Lot
39-A of said Grant, because the same fails to crrectly
describe the property intended to be sold, and the
assessment of said land fails to designate the true owner
of said land.
Section 15. That Tax Sale Certif hate No. 53t'
of June 4th, 1928, be and the same is hereby cancelled
in so far as the same applies to and overlaps 5 feet
on the west 41 feet of Lot 39-F, and That Tax Sale Cer-
tificate No. 536 of June 4th, 1928 be and the same is
hereby cancelled in so far as it overlaps five feet on
the fci€ty feet adjacent and abutting on the west thereof.
Section 14. That the Town Clerk of the Town of
Edgewater, Florida is hereby directed to enter the above
and foregoing cancellations on the Assessment Rolls of the
Town of Edgewater,Florida, as to the lands hereinbefore
described, and for the years hereinbefore set forth; and

Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Volusia
County, Florida, the cancellations and partial can-
cellations of the within described Tax Sale Certificates
in so far as the same are by this Resolution affected.
