Volusia County Emergency Relief Council - Furnish Sufficient Men - Clean Out Drainage Ditch - 06-21-1933 ` ■rr/ Sheet 2, Minutes of Regular meeting of the Town Council, Town of Edgeoratei, Volusia County, Florida, held Wednesday June 21 1933- continued from sheet 1- R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, the drsina.ge ditch lying West of the main line of the Florida East Coast Railway and running under the Okeechobee Branch of the Florida East Coast Railw y just North of Park Avenue , within the corporate limits of the Torn of Edgewater , Volusia County, Florida., thence running in a North Easterly direction to the main line of said Railway and draining into the drainage ditch which drains the fight of wry of the said "ailway, is filled to such an extent that lend adjacent thereto is not being properly drained and, WHEREAS, the improper drainage of the said lands usually serviced by the said drainage ditch has caused great inconvenience to the property owners thereof , and, WHEREAS , the Town vouncil of the Town of Edcse- wa.ter is without funds to clean out this ditch so that proper drainage may be obtained and, WHEREAS, it is highly improbable that the said Torn will have sufficient funds to do this work " thin the next year , therefore to it , Uontinued on sheet 3 1 4140001 ,41000 Sheet 3, minutes of regular Meeting of the Town Council, Town of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida, held Wednesday June 21 1933- continued from sheet 2 , RESOLVED that this sown Council of the Town Of Edgewater , Volusia "ounty, l'lorida, does and we do hereby petition the Volusia County Emergency Relief Council to furnish the said ioFn with sufficient men to do this work, with the understandin that the said Town will provide the necessary tools and equipment. Jilkinson, seconded by Councilman F.R.Renwick, that the Council sit as a board of equalization, for hearing complaints on taxes assessed for the year 1933, at its regular meeting to be held Wednesday July 5th 1933, and that the Clerk be instructed to post proper notice thereof.
