Council Town of Edgewater,Florida held `lednesday June
7th 1933-
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the dredge digging the intra coastal water-
way canal between Jacksonville and Miami , Florida,
has deposited spoilage along the marshes and meadows
on the West Shore of the Indian River, North , within
the corporate limits of the town of Edgewater , and upon
the property of the said town, namely: The Strand, be-
ing a street along the said riverfront within the said
corporate limits and,
WHEREAS, the depositing of the said spoilage upon the
said Strand has impaired the use thereof and at certain
places the street has become impassable, resulting in
great inconvenience and damage to the property owners
along the said riverfront , and,
WHEREAS , the Town Council of Edgewater is without funds
to remove the said spoilage and rebuild the road in
places where it is damaged, in order to make traffic pos-
sible and,
WHEREAS, it is highly improbably that the said town will
have sufficient funds within the next year to pay for the
above mentioned work, it is therefore,

Wednesday June 7th 1933-
RESOLVED that this Town council of the Town of Edgewater,
Volusia County, Florida, does and we do hereby petition
the Volusia County Emergency Relief Council to furnish
the said town with sufficient men to do this work, with
the understanding that the said town will provide the
necessary tools and equipment.
