Provide for the Relief of Town Clerk R C Fuller - 06-16-1931 (2) Minutes of dune 16th 1931 R E S O L U T I O N A RESOLUTION TO PROVIDE FOR THE RE- LIEF OF R. C. FULLER, TOWN CLERK OF THE TOWN OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA. WHEREAS, R. C. Fuller, Town Clerk of the Town of Edgewater, Florida, received certain checks in the amount of Twenty-five and 28/100 ($25.28) Dollars payable to the Town of Edgewater, drawn on The Fi- delity Bank of New Smyrna, Florida, and signed by Mrs. Edith Bigelow on the eve of the failure of the aforesaid bank,to be applied in payment of certain taxes assessed by the said Town of Edgewater against the said Mrs. Edith Bigelow, and, WHEREAS, collection was never made upon said checks , due to the fact that said bank had failed before same were presented for collection, and, WHEREAS, tax receipts for the payment of taxes in the amount aforesaid had been issued to said Mrs. Edith Bigelow at the time said checks were delivered 'Soar' yore 5 wrr. to said Town Clerk, and WHEREAS, Mrs. Edith Bigelow has declined to take up said checks or pay over to said Town Clerk said am- ount of Twenty-five and 28/100 ($25.28) Dollars, the amount of taxes for which the said Mrs. Edith Bigelow was issued tax receipt as aforesaid, and WHEREAS, the Toxin Council is satisfied that said R. C. Fuller, Town Clerk, was not at fault or negligent in either the issuance of said tax receipts or the failure to have said checks presented for collection prior to the failure of said bank, and WHEREAS, it is the sense and desire of the Town Coun- cil to extend the said Town Clerk credit in the am- ount of the aforesaid sum of Twenty-five and 28/100 ($25.28) Dollars upon his report of tax collections for the said Town for the year A.D. 1931, NOW THERE- FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, that R. C. Fuller, Town Clerk -2- of the Town of Edgewater, Florida, be, and he is hereby given and granted a credit in the amount of Twenty-five and 28/100 ($25.28) Dollars, upon his report of tax collections for the said Town for the year A.D. 1931.
