that P . H. Simpson and J. J . Lofton received the same and
the highest number of Totes cast for the office of Marshal

WHEREAS, it therefore becomes necessary for a
Special Election to he called for the purpose of determining
whether P. H. Sim;son or J. J. Lofton shall be enti1 ed to
hold the office of Marshal of the Town of Ed'ewater, Florida,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCILOF THE
TOWN OF EDGEWATER , FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section '_. That the results shown by
the returns of the Clerk and Inspectors of the election
held in and for the Town. of Edrrewater. Florida, on the
12th day of November, A. D. 1929, be and the same are
hereby declared to be the results of the election.
Section 2. That i rasmuch as it arrears
by the duplicate returns that P. H. Simpson and J. J. Lofton
received the same and the hi:hest number of votes cast for
the office of Marshal of the Town. of Edgewater, Florida, the
results of the election . insofar as pertaining to the office
of Town Marshal, be and the same are hereby declared to be
without the effect of electing a Town Marsha? .
Section 3, That a Special Election be
and the name 4Q hereby called. {-n be held in and for the
Town of Edgewater. Florida, or, VV6- E S D 1-

of determi.nina whether P. H. Simpson or J. J. Lofton shall
be entitled to hold the office of Town Marshal ,
Section 4. That the Town Clerk be, and

number of ballots printed and prepared for this Special
Election; bearin; .he names of P. H. Simpson and J. J. Lofton
as candidates for the office of Marshal .
