'" \J . \ V The Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, held January 4th, 1960 was called to order by Mayor Crawford C. Shaeffer at 7:30 P. M. ROLL CALL Mayor C. C. Motion duly made by Councilman Seng these minutes stand approved as submitted, seconded by Councilman Armstrong and by vote CARRIED. II' v 'wi \wi v OFFICERS REPORT The Clerk read the Building Inspectors Report for the month of December, 1959. RESOLU'froNS A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, TO OPEN AN ACCOUNT IN THE BANK OF NEW SMYRNA, NEW SMYP.NA BEACH, FLORIDA, SAID ACCOUNT TO BE KNOWN AS THE WATER SYSTEM RESERVE ACCOUNT FOR THE MUNICIPAL WATER WORKS OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA. The above and foregoing Resolution was presented by Councilman Seng who moved its adoption, said motion being seconded by Councilman Smith and upon roll call vote said resolution was duly declared adopted at the regular meeting of said council held on January 4, 1960 the vote on said roll call of said council being as follows:- Councilman Maler Yea Councilman Seng Yea Councilman Smith Yea Councilman Armstrong Yea Mayor Shaeffer Yea ORDINANCES AN ORDINANCE AMENDI11G SECTIONS 5 AND 6 OF ORDINANCE NO. 147 OF THE CITY OF EDGE- WATER, FLORIDA, F.NTITLED, "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LICENSING OF ALL DOG'S WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, PROHIBITING DOGS FROM RUNNING AT LARGE WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS DURING CERTAIN PERIODS, .AND AUTHORIZING THE lMPOUNDING AND DESTRUCTION OF DOGS AND PROVIDING A PENALTY AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH". The above Ordinance was read in full by Attorney Chisholm and motion duly made by Councilman Seng this ordinance be adopted, seconded by Councilman Smith and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a meet- ing held January 4, 1960. The above Ordinance was read in full by Attorney Chisholm and motion duly made by Councilman Smith this ordinance be adopted, seconded by Councilman Seng and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meeting held January 4, 1960. The above Ordinance #256 was read in full by Attorney Chisholm and motion duly made by Councilman Seng this ordinance was adopted, seconded by Councilman Maler and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meeting held on January 4, 1960. Mayor Shaeffer explained as best he could and then ask Attorney Chisholm to interpret this Ordinance. After a lenghty discussion the matter was settled to the satisfaction of every one. Mr. Palmateer a.sk if there was any report on water in Edgewater Acres and Drainage. Attorney Chisholm stated he had not received a~ answers to his letters and Mayor Shaeffer stated Mr. Braddock and a high official on drainage from Tallahassee was in to see him and they promised they would contact the Railroad to help correct this situation, and Mr. Palmateer, when I get aqy information, I will make a special trip to your house a.nd let you know. Mr. Piser ask the Ma.yor to attend the Chamber of Connnerce meeting tomorrow night a.s they would like some financial assistance in getting out their Brochure. There being no further business Councilman Seng moved we do now adjourn, seconded by Councilman Maler and by vote CARRIED. Time 8:05 P. M.
