A report from Briley, Wild and Associates by Thomas Groover was read
concerning the proposed Sanitary Se~age Project to serve the City of
Edgewater. This study has investigated the general topography of the
area, with respect to the design of a sewage system, and includes a
detailed house count for population and feasibility studies. A.
complete layout of the proposed sanitary sewer system has been developed
and was presented l~th the report, together with plans for the treatment
of the sel1age. Also included are estimates of costs of the proposed
facilities~and a preliminary financial study.
After the report there was some discussion. Councilman Kennedy asked if
the extra survey that would be necessary was included in the cost. ~IT.
Groover said it wasn't and that it is in addition to the money for the
planning. Councilman Kennedy stated that some of the areas, even in the
City proper, are not included in the survey. }IT. Groover said that the
entire City has been studied but some areas are not suitably developed
to l~rrant the sewer system. They may be ready in the years to corne.
He stated that North and Vlest of ti.1C Cemetery there are very few houses.
He stated that the Treatment Plant was roughly in the center of town.
l1r. Blauvelt stated that there was nothing mentioned in the report for
the extension of the water lines in Edgewater from the surplus monies.
He said that he understood that it was to be used for that purpose.
