l1r. George Haas of Florida Shores spoke in reference to the roads
in Florida Shores. The fixing of the cross-overs in Florida Shores
hre been tabled over and over again. The roads are like wash boards.
Why can't the City of Edgewater put a grader over them and level those
roads. The City of Edgewater has a grader but all it does is
create dust. You tell us what streets have been oiled.
Mayor Hussey stated that this Council has had more streets fixed
than any other Council before.
Mr. Haas stated that streets are so bad and that they are not helping
draw people to Edgewater.
Councilman Seng stated that next year we will get a whole lot more
str~ets paved. He said he felt we were not getting as much done
as compared with the amount of taxes we pay.
Mri. Thompson of Florida Shores stated that her milk man was stuck
a good deal of time in Florida Shores due to the bad roads.
John Mertz asked why all the plumbers in Edgewater have to be
licensed since the firms they work for guarantee their wnrk. He
said that a lot of his men can't afford this and so they have to
stop doing work in Edgewater.

Hr. LaBonde, Building Official: All the other firms do jobs down here.
They are licensed. They have no trouble getting work. He stated that
many surrounding cities have the same ordinance and I don't see
why we should repeal the ordinance.
Mr. Nat Brown said this ordinance protects the small builders. I
want qualified men when I hire them.
There being no further business motion duly made by Councilman Seng
that we now adjourn, seconded by Councilman Palmateer and by
vote CARRIED.
