The meeting of the Zoning and Planning Board of the City of Edgewater, Florida, was called to order by the Chairman, Kenneth May at 8:00 P. M., October 20th, 1964 Roll Call was as follows: Joseph Emry Present Wal tcr Hester Absent Olen Matthews Present Clifford Mosher Present D. E. Settle Present Arthur Shafer Present William Smith Absent Vivian Oyler Present Kenneth May, Chairman Present The minutes of the previous meeting was read and approved, motion made by Mr. Shafer, seconded by Mr. Mosher and by vote carried. o o A copy of the letter sent to the City Council stating that the Board re- commended that the variance changing certain of the Lots in the Hazel Coyle property from residential to commercial be denied was read. There being no other old business, the Chairman proceeded with the ne'1 business. He called for the reading of the letter from Jennie L. Keel who asked for a variance on Lots 5 and 6, Block B of Colets Subdivision from residential to Commercial so that she might establish a Beauty Shop at her home, 301 Old County Road. This is on the east side of the road opposite the Coronado Paint Company. Chairman May said he owned the house at one time, then sold it to Keels, it is industrial on the west side of the road and before the City re- zoned it was industrial on the east side where the Keels are now. Mr. May owns most of the land around, lots 6 to 20 in<<l. and most of lot 1 and has no objections to the variance. George Angel had a non-conforming plumbing ------. V 'iJ -------. o ~ (.) '------ .~ o o ., business nearby on the same side of the street. Mr. May has u little house directly in front on the opposite or west side of the street (industrial side) which he rents. He said there was plenty of room around as the lots are about 64' by 124'. Jack Hayman owns one lot within 300' but Mrs. Keel says he is agreeable to the variance. As all requirements for the legal advertising had been met by Mrs. Keel, Chairman May ,sot October 25th, November 5th, and 12th as the advertising dates, and November 17th for the Public Hearing. There being no further business, a motion ~~s made for adjournment by Joseph Emry, seconded by Olen Matthews, and by vote carried. Adjourned at 8:45 p. M. ?/:~~ ~' Secre ry
