members that can should attend this meeting.

for approval as orliginally submitted since no one fron the citizen's
commi ttee showed up for the meeting. Second made by Mr Brittingham.
Discussion followed. Mr Loveland suggested that since some members
had made their objections known to the .Board at the last meeting
that we should review the Ord. as written and see if any areas
could be rewritten to accommodate those ehanges. 'rhe second ende
the motion were withdrawn. tleading of the sign Ord. followed.
Action as follows was taken for recommended changes:
Sec. 701.03.11. liefer to Attorney for authority.
Sec. 701.03.12. Hewrite as recommended by Hldg. Gode Board as
follows: "If in the opinion of the Chief Bldg. Official any signs
do not meet the standards of this Ordinance, he shall hot:i:fy the
owner in writing and the owner shall have 30 days to comply or
to protest in court. where signs are erected causing an immediate
safety hazard, the lJhief Bldg. Official and the Police lJhief
shall both make this determination and notify the owner in writing
and such sign will be removed wi thin 48 hours."
Sec. 701.03.13. Delete last line in paragraph.
Sec. 701.04.3. Question about "determination if promotion is still
active". liefer to Attorney for &nswer.
Sec. 701.04.4. Question about limiting to certain intensity- this
factor will need to be investigated for determinatio n
also change the word "weather" to read. "Time".
Sec. 701.04.5.1. Add MH-la and MH-2. Under subsection e change
"from behind" to read "indireotly".
Sec. 101.04.5.3. (b) Change Surfaoe Area Limit to red ".1>hysical
Area Limit: Not to exceed 10 (ten) sq. ft. for each 10 (ten) ft.
of frontage on a public street plus two and one half (2 1/2) sq.
ft. for each one thousand (1,000) sq. ft. of building, not to
exceed two hundred (200) sq. ft." Change subsection (c) "Surfaoe
area" to read "Physical Area". Make "Roof Occupant" into new
subsection (d) and change to read "Permitted by special exception
subject to the following restrictions: A roof sign m~ be ereeted
providing a ground sign or projecting sign is not erected. Physical
size limits are same as (b) above.
Sec. 101.01.3. After much discussion it was decided to again reword
and add after "thereof" the fowlowing: "wi thout approval of the City
Councilor its designate thereof".
Sec. 101.07.4. Delete (f) Roof Signs. and ohange to Flashing lights.
Add "except Barber Shops" after (e) Revolving Signs. Delete (k)
Flashing Signs.
Chairman Wolfe recommended we stop at this
