2005-R-03 'W ""'" RESOLUTION NO. 2005-R-03 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEW A TER, FLORIDA; EXPRESSING SUPPORT AND PARTICIPATION IN THE APPLICATION PROCESS WITH THE STATE OF FLORIDA FOR THE COUNTY OF VOLUSIA TO DESIGNATE THE EAST COAST GREENWAY TRAIL THROUGHOUT VOLUSIA COUNTY; REPEALING RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND APPLICABILITY AND EST ABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, has made the following determinations: WHEREAS, there is a need for the designation of the East Coast Greenway Trail throughout V olusia County in an effort to provide additional recreational opportunities for area residents and tourists. WHEREAS, a portion of the proposed trail lies within the corporate limits of the City of Edgewater. WHEREAS, the City wishes to be an active participant in the application to receive the official trail designation and to express support for the County of V olusia to designate the East Coast Greenway Trail throughout the County, a copy of which is attached and incorporated herein as Exhibit "A", NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida: Section 1. The City of Edge water hereby approves to participate and support the County of V olusia in the application process with the State of Florida for designation of the East Coast Greenway Trail throughout V olusia County as depicted in Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto and incorporated herein. Section 2. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be and same are 2005-R-03 1 w ...., hereby repealed. Section 3. Severability and Applicability. If any portion of this resolution is for any reason held or declared to be unconstitutional, inoperative, or void, such holding shall not affect the remaining portions of this resolution. If this resolution or any provisions thereof shall be held to be inapplicable to any person, property, or circumstances, such holding shall not affect its applicability to any other person, property, or circumstance.
