A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AND EXECUTE A LOCALLY
FUNDED AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF FLORIDA
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION CONCERNING
THE INSTALLATION OF AN EMERGENCY TRAFFIC
SIGNAL IN FRONT OF FIRE STATION 55; REPEALING
RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY AND APPLICABILITY AND
ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Edgewater has requested grant funding from Florida
Department of Transportation ("FDOT")for the installation of an emergency traffic signal
in front of Fire Station 55; and
WHEREAS, on March 17, 2025 the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2025-R-
06 in connection with the grant funding from the FDOT for installation of the emergency
traffic signal which misstated the amount of Federal funds for the project; aril
WHEREAS, the current Engineer probable cost estimate of=~the .Project is
$558,837.00, and much of the financing of the Project will be through the use of-federal
funds totaling $265,940.00, which are being made available to the City in the form-of a
reimbursement for the costs associated with the construction services for the Project; and
WHEREAS, the terms and conditions upon which the Federal funding assistance will be
provided and the understandings as to the manner in which the City will undertake and complete
the Project are formalized in the Locally Funded Agreement between the FDOT and the City,
which is attached hereto as Exhibit"A"and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Edgewater, Florida:
Section 1. Ratification of Recitals. The foregoing recitals are hereby ratified and

confirmed as true and correct and are hereby made a part of this Resolution.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to sign the Locally Funded Agreement
between the FDOT and the City.
Section 3, Conflict. If any resolutions, or parts of resolutions, are in conflict herewith,
this Resolution shall control to the extent of the conflicting provisions. Resolution No. 2025-R-06
is hereby repealed.
Section 4. Severability. The provisions of this Resolution are intended to be severable. If
any part of this Resolution is determined to be void or is declared illegal,invalid,or unconstitutional
by a Court Of competent jurisdiction,the remainder of this Resolution shall remain in full force and
effect.
Section S. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
adoption.
