Riverside Drive Edgewater, FL 32132 Council Chambers Clarence McCloud, Vice Chair of the Economic Development Board, called the meeting to order at 8:04 a.m. Present 4 - Bliss Jamison, Clarence McCloud, Debbie Dolbow and John Ward Excused 3 - Michael Kelley, Rebecca Crews and Cecil Selman Also Present 1 - Samantha Bergeron 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES AR-2022-0101 Minutes from the February 2, 2022 Economic Development Board Meeting Attachments: EDB Meeting Minutes 2-2-2022 A motion was made by Bliss Jamison, second by John Ward, to approve minutes from the February 2, 2022 Economic Development Board Meeting. The MOTION was APPROVED unanimously. Yes: 4 - Bliss Jamison, Clarence McCloud, Debbie Dolbow and John Ward Excused: 3 - Michael Kelley, Rebecca Crews and Cecil Selman 3. PUBLIC COMMENTS - PRESENTATIONS - None at this time. 4. OLD BUSINESS a. SEVMTC Phase 11 Draft Plan Economic Development Coordinator, Samantha Bergeron, reviewed and discussed with the Board the Southeast Volusia Manufacturing & Technology Coalition Phase II Plan. Board comments and suggestions will be shared at the SEVMTC Board for consideration before a recommendation is made to City Council. b. Team Volusia Annual Meeting Ms. Bergeron reminded the Board that the Team Volusia 10th Annual Meeting has been rescheduled to March 10, 2022. OTHER BUSINESS Bliss Jamison suggested the Board research State Bill 758 that allows for Florida State College System Colleges to sponsor a charter school. Before taking next steps, Southeast Volusia School of Science and Technology is awaiting the Department of Education to finalize the rules for state colleges and universities to administer charter schools. 7. DISCUSSION ITEMS / REPORTS a. Economic Development Coordinator Report Ms. Bergeron reported on the success of the 2022 Princess Ball and the status of the Scholarship Resolution update, scheduled to go before City Council March 2, 2022. She suggested a Job Fair for workforce recruitment at Daytona State College be discussed further and mentioned that a planning company's proposal to have visioning sessions and update the Vision Book, Comprehensive Economic Development Strategic (CEDS) plan and Community Redevelopment Area (CRA) Plan, will go before City Council for approval at the April Council Meeting. b.
