CITY OF EDGEWATER
Building Code Board Meeting Minutes
February 18, 1982
Chairman Austin called the meeting to order at 7:02 PM in the Edgewater
Community Center.
ROLL CALL
Members present: Messrs. Austin, Troutner, Hall, Howard. Also present:
Debbie Winks, Secretary
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Moved by Mr. Hall, seconded by Mr. Austin, and UNANIMOUSLY CARRIED, to
approve the minutes of the 10/15/81 meeting as submitted.
NEW BUSINESS
Mr. and Mrs. Reilly were present to discuss their problem of water running
on their property from their neighbor's, Mr. Ed Hall. Two of their other
neighbors were present as witnesses to this fact. Mr. Ed Hall's lot has
been filled properly, the problem is with the back of Mr. and Mrs. Reilly's
lot being too low. The Reilly's purchased their home from Belmont and
they did not fill the back in enough. Belmont has refused to give the
Reilly's additional fill.
Mr. Frank Hall will get together with Mr. Ed Hall and Belmont and he is
quite sure the problem will be resolved, and the Reilly's will get their
fill.
Mr. Frank Hall discussed the Wildwood subdivision concerning the driveways
being put in. He feels that the Building Inspector should check the
driveways to make sure they have the proper swales. The Board will get
in touch with Mr. Murphy to check this out, and it will be discussed at the
next meeting.
At present owner builders may build one house per year and do all their
own work. A licensed plumber and electrician is not required. The
building inspector must inspect the work, but he is not a master elec-
trician or plumber. This was tabled until the next meeting to have
Mr. Murphy and Mr. Henderson present to discuss this.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:53 PM.
