10-16-1979 T -,.........-- > , . v u CITY OF EDGEWATER BUILDING CODE BOARD October 16, 1979 CALL TO ORDER Mr. Griffith called the meeting to order at 7:40 P.M. in the Edgewater City Hall. Harris Mr. Hall Mr. Cole Mr. Troutner Present Present Present Present Present Mr. Murphy Mr. Berman t~ r. 0 pal Mr. Hol ahan Mr. Gregory Mr. Holden DECISION DUKE/LAWSON/LOEFFLER COMPLAINT Mr. Griffith spoke to the Board about bringing charges against Mr. Duke and Mr. Lawson. Mr. Harris made a motion to refer this complaint to the City Attorney for further action and charges. Mr. Troutner seconded the motion. The motion CARRIED 5-0. Mr. Griffith asked the Board their feelings on whether or not to bring charges aganist Mr. Paul Loeffler. Mr. Harris said that he felt that the Board did not have enough information to bring charges against Mr. Loeffler. Mr. Hall felt that Mr. Loeffler was not really guilty of anything at this po i n t. Mr. Harris made a motion to table this until the next meeting. Mr. Cole seconded the motion~ The motion CARRIED 5-0. REPAIRS TO GREGORY HGUSE Mr. Griffith stated that the discussion tonight was to create guidelines for the new contractor to go by. Mr. Murphy stated that if the contractors came to him, he would give them the guidelines for them to bid on. The house should be finished to suit the owner. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Mr. Harris made a motion to accept the minutes of August 14th. Mr. Cole seconded the motion. The motion CARRIED 5-0. Mr. Hall made a motion to accept the minutes of September 18th. Mr. Cole seconded the motion. The motion CARRIED 5,D. BOARD COMMENTS Mr. Murphy suggested that the utility room should have one (1) additional receptacle other than the washing machine and dryer outlet. - 1 - ...--~ ..~ ~ '-> Q Mr. Harris made a motion to invite Volusia and Barkley Roofing to the next Building Code Meeting to discuss Mrs. Elliott's roof. Mr. Hall seconded the motion. The motion CARRIED 5-0. Mr. Cole made a motion to accept the additional outlet in the utility room. Mr. Hall seconded the motion. The motion CARRIED 3-2. Mr. Griffith and Mr. Troutner voted' NO. The minutes of October 9th were tabled until the next meeting. Mr. Holden asked the Board how he should go about obtaining a contractor to repair his home.
