SCREENING COMMITTEE

MINUTES
The Screening Committee meeting of the City of Edgewater was
called to order by the Chairman, Thomas Sheridan, at 6:58 p.m. ln the
Shuffleboard Building.
ROLL CALL
Members present were: Wallace Trickey, Dominick Fazzone, James
Bonneville, William Hoffart, Thomas Sheridan. Also present was Mr.
James Mackie, one of the applicants for service on the Land Develop-
ment and Regulatory Agency.
Mr. Sheridan stated there were three applicants for recommendation
to the Land Development and Regulatory Agency and all three have
been interviewed previously. Mr. Sheridan then asked the Committee
to take a few moments to review them and they could then get to
the business of making a selection. Mr. Sheridan stated also that
these three have been previously screened for the Agency. Mr.
Hoffart spoke to Mr. Mackie and said the last time they met Mr.
Mackie had made a statement he may be leaving town. Mr. Mackie
said at that time he was trying to sell his house but the deal
did not go through and he has no intention of leaving town.
Mr. Sheridan asked the Committee to start the voting and Mr. Trickey
said he had been through the material and believes Mr.. Mackie oversees
the other two gentlemen, and suggested Mr. James Mackie. Mr.
Fazzone said he had read the three resumes and Mr. Mackie is
his choice. Mr. Hoffart also voted for Mr. Mackie. Mr. Bonneville's
choice was Mr. Azzarello and Mr. Sheridan's Mr. Wargo. Mr. Mackie
was voted in by a vote of 3 to 2. The secretary announced this
recommendation would be given to Mr. Powers the next day and
presented by him to Council. Action will be taken on October 17,
1988.
There being no further business before the Committee, Mr. Trickey
moved for adjournment, seconded by Mr. Fazzone. The meeting adjourned
at 7:18 p.m.
