CALL TO ORDER: Chairman, George Cowan called to order the regular meeting of the Citizens Code Enforcement Board at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 20, 1991. ROLL CALL: Members present were Chairman George Cowan, Lange, Mrs. Cucanich, and Mrs. Strong. excused. Also present were Char lane Runge, Safety Director, and Tonya Elliott, Secretary. Mrs. Borner, Mr. Mr. Christian was Code Enforcement/ APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Mrs. Cucanich made a motion to approve the minutes of May 16, 1991. Seconded by Mrs. Strong. Motion CARRIED 4-0. Mrs. Borner abstained as she had been excused from the meeting. The Code Enforcement Officer and anyone representing a case were sworn in by the secretary. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Case #91-CC-049 - Ms. Runge reported this case came in compliance on June 18, 1991. Mr. Lange made a motion to accept the case in compliance. Seconded by Mrs. Borner. Motion CARRIED 5-0. Case #91-CC-039 Piggy's of Edgewater (Fat Bob's) - Concrete blocks and other building material on north and rear sides. Section 717.00. Ms. Runge passed pictures dated June 19, 1991 to the Board. Ms. Runge explained to the Board there has been no change since the citation was issued. Ms. Runge recommended the board give permission to contact the county ando impose the fine. Mr. Castelli and Mrs. Angela Olivio pleaded their case and said they would have the violation cleared by 4:30 P. M. on June 21, 1991. Mrs. Strong made motion to fine Piggy's of Edgewater (Fat Bob's) two-hundred-fifty dollars ($250.00) for the violation and fifty dollars ($50.00) per day until in compliance. Seconded by Mrs. Borner. Motion CARRIED 5-0. o o Citizens Code Enforcement Board June 20, 1991 page-2- Case #91-CC-040 - Fishers Auction, Ray Fisher - Placing driveway without required permit and placing fill without required permit. Section 15-3(b)(e) and 9.5.58. Ms. Runge passed pictures to the board. City Engineer, Gates Castle, explained the lot which is being used for parl~ing does not meet the current standards such as stormwater and landscaping. Mr. Castle said once plans were submitted it would take a minimum of 30 days to come in c 0 mp I i a nc e . Mrs. Borner made motion to fine Fishers Auction, Ray Fisher, two- hundred-fifty dollars (S250.00) for the violation and fifty dollars (S50.00) a day until in compliance. Seconded by Mrs. Strong. Seconded by Mrs. Cucanich. Motion CARRIED 5-0. Case #91-CC-05B - Susan Blauer - Discarded dog house in right-of- way. section 717.00. Ms. Runge reported to the board she would like to hold this case until the next meeting, the subpoena had to be mailed out of town and had not yet been received by Ms. Blauer. Mrs. Strong made a motion to continue the case to the meeting of July 18, 1991. Seconded by Mrs. Cucanich. Motion CARRIED 5-0. o o Citizens Code Enforcement Board May 16, 1991 Page -3- Code Enforcement Officer, Charlane Runge requested the following cases be held over until the next meeting, the subpoena's had not been delivered. Case tt91-CC-060 Case tt91-CC-069 Jessie Peeples Frank Morris Mrs. Cucanich made motion to continue these cases to the meeting of July 18, 1991. Seconded by Mr. Lange. Motion CARRIED 5-0. Case #91-CC-054 - Sides Cars & Trucks C/O Elwood Sides - Red pick up truck with no tag. Section 10-66. Mr. Sides passed pictures to the board showing he was using the truck to haul construction debris. He stated that he puts a dealer tag on the truck when he uses it. Ms. Runge said, the issue was the truck did not have a tag and was parl~ed on a piece of property. There was a brief discussion between Ms. Runge, Mr. Sides and the board. Mr. Lange made a motion to fine Sides Cars & Trucks C/O Elwood Sides,twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for the violation. Seconded by Mrs. Borner. Motion CARRIED 4-~. Mrs. Strong voted NO. t./ -I Case #91-CC-056 - Robert Trevarthen - Two (2) no tags. Section 10-66. Ms. Runge stated been moved.
