03-21-1991 ~ u (J CITY OF EDGEWATER CITIZENS CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD REGULAR MEETING MARCH 21, 1991 COMMUNITY CENTER, CITY HALL 7:00 P.M. ~ \) \)\ v:. ~\ CALL TO ORDER: Cha i'rwoman, Maureen the Citizens Code I"larch 21, 1991. Borner called to order the regular meeting of Enforcement Board at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, ROLL CALL: Members present were Mr. Christian, Mr. Lange, Mr. Cowan, Mrs. Cucanich, Mrs. Strong and Chairwoman Borner. Mr. Kozlowski was excused. Also present were Charlane Runge, Code Enforcement/Safety Director and Sondra Meager-Pengov, Secretary. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Mrs. Strong made a motion to approve the minutes of February 21, 1991. Seconded by Mrs. Cucanic~. Motion CARRIED 5-0. Mr. Christian abstained as he was excused from the February meeting. Anyone with statements or comments regarding a case were asked to stand to be sworn in. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Case #91-CC-015 - David Wiley - Ms. Runge reported the case is now in compliance. No further action can be taken as the records show an incorrect owner. Mrs. Strong made a motion to accept Ms. Runge's findings, seconded by Mrs. Cucanich. Motion CARRIED 6-0. NEW BUSINESS: Code Enforcement Officer, Charlane Runge reported cases withdrawn and signed in compliance: the following Case #91-CC-020 Case #91-CC-024 Case #91-CC-026 Case #91-CC-028 Helen Comstock East Coast Real Estate Linda Watters Joseph Tavares A mo t i on was made by. Mr. Cowan and seconded by Mr. Chr is t i an to accept the Code Enforcement Officer's in compliance violations. Motion CARRIED 6-0. Case #91-CC-021 Pawlak Construction - Ms. Runge reported no certified mail receipt had been returned and requested continuing this to the April 18, 1991 meeting. Mrs. Cucanich made a motion to continue Case #91-CC-021 to the April 18, 1991 meeting. Seconded by Mrs. Strong. Motion CARRIED 6-0. Mr. Johnson stated he will remove the sandbox, but said he will have trouble putting the boat on the side yard. After discussion with the Board Mrs. Strong made a motion to have Ms. Runge reevaluate the size of the side yard for parking the boat and Mr. Johnson to have trash removed by March 25, 1991. Seconded by Mr. Cowan. Motion CARRIED 6-0. DISCUSSION ITEMS: Nothing to report at this time. CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER COMMENTS: Ms. Runge reported her visit to Volusia County Code Enforcement Board meeting. Also reported the February Code Violations: Citations 168 Citations in Compliance 81 Citations Unclaimed/ Returned 7 ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business to come before the Board a motion was made and accepted to adjourn.
