CITIZENS CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD
REGULAR MEETING
THURSDAY, AUGUST 16, 1990
7:00 P.M.
COMMUNITY CENTER, CITY HALL
CALL TO ORDER:
Chairwoman, Maureen Borner called to order the regular meeting of
the Citizens Code Enforcement Board at 7:00 p.m., Thursday,
August 16, 1990.
ROLL CALL:
Members present were Mr. Lange, Mr. Cowen, Mrs. Cucanich, Mrs.
Strong and Chairwoman Borner. Mr. Christian and Mr. Kozlowski
were excused. Also present were Pat Di Leva, Code Enforcement
Officer/Safety Director and Sondra Meager-Pengov, Secretary.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Mrs. Strong made a motion to approve the minutes of
1990. Seconded by Mrs. Cucanich. Motion CARRIED ~-1.

NEW BUSINESS:
Mr. Di Leva reported Case Numbers 90-CC-091, 90-CC-092, 90-CC-
09~ and 90-CC-098 as being in compliance. Mrs. Strong made a
motion accepting these cases as in compliance. Seconded by Mrs.
Cucanich. Motion CARRIED 5-0.
CASE # 90-CC-097 - Mr. Di Leva reported the subpoena for Mrs.
Carole Krizanovic was accepted by her son(s). It appears that
the sons are not notifying their mother, Mrs. Carole Krizanovic
of the violation. Mr. Di Leva would like to try further to
notify Mrs. Krizanovic of the violation as she was very
cooperative in correcting a past violation.
Mrs. Strong made a motion to table Case #90-CC-097 until the next
scheduled meeting of September 20, 1990, to give Mr. Di Leva time
to contact Mrs. Krizanovic. Seconded by Mrs. Cucanich. Motion
CARRIED 5-0.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
Mr. Di Leva reported on the status of Case # 90-CC-082, Mr. Perry
Barrett, Gas Stop. Mr. Karet, Director of Planning and Zoning
spoke to Mr. Barrett on the phone and Mr. Barrett requested a
list of his violations. This was provided to him. As of this
afternoon (August 16, 1990) Mr. Di Leva found everything in
compliance except for a red 25c drink sign (as shown in the
pictures) .
Mr. Lange moved to fine Case # 90-CC-082 fifty dollars ($50.00)
per day until the red 25c drink sign is removed. Seconded by
Mrs. Strong. Motion CARRIED 5-0.
DISCUSSION ITEMS:
Mrs. Strong inquired about the old garage sale signs, should they
be removed. Mr. Di Leva said he tries to get Public Works to
pickup the signs.
Mr. Di Leva told the Board he would request Public Works to cut
over grown grass in areas where the owners can not be reached,
and will report back to the Board where these violations existed.
